Today is the 10th working day since I applied. I noticed after I applied that you only get an instant decision if you apply on certain days/times (they're listed in the FAQs).

I was going to wait until I got home to see if I have a letter. If not I'll give them a call next week.

I only want it for the £15 voucher. I wonder if I'll be declined... never been declined for credit since the very first credit card application I made when I was 18.

Well today was the 11th working day. Still no letter or phone call so I rang MBNA (their number is in the FAQs on the application page - use the 1 listed for abroad).

After spending 5 mins of getting asked the same questions over and over again (name, address, post code, DOB, phone number etc etc about 3 times each) the person said they couldn't find my account so would put me through to the applications team.

I'm not sure why they went over the same questions again before they put me through to the applications team because I said more than once I was phoning to check an application. Maybe they just didn't hear me or were new, whatever the reason it wasn't much of a hassle to be honest.

Anyway... the applications team found my details straight away and put me on hold whilst they 'reviewed' the application. About 2 minutes later it was accepted and they told me the limit etc.

So patrick0 or anybody else that has applied, give them a call if you still haven't heard anything... but maybe clear in asking to speak to the team that deal with new applications when you first get through.

Rec'd a call this morning at 8.45 at work and went through the details confirming it was me....took about 5 mins and was given a credit limit of £2000 (already have a virgin card so they reduced that one to £500) - asked why it had taken so long and they said that they had a huge number of applications to get through!
