Play.com credit card

A thousand apologies if this is a multiple repost.

Is it me or is this a pretty good offer?

Considering you can buy most things very cheaply on Play and a £500 spend on anything gets you a £5 voucher... not bad and may beat cashback offered [except with Amex]

http://www.play.com/Campaign.html?campaign=6748&cid=5106868

Looks competitive to me...

0% on card purchases for 9 months from the date your account is opened*
0% on balance transfers for 6 months from the date your account is opened on transfers made in the first 90 days from opening account (1.5% handling fee applies) <LI class=txtAPR>15.9% APR typical (variable)

Like all voucher offers, it's good if you'd normally buy the vouchers worth at Play - otherwise you're just buying for the sake of it and would be better with a different offer! Looks pretty good though, when Egg Money stop offering cashback I'll be applying
  • Everybody uses Play on average every week don't they ?!

    ...Just me ?!

Just signed up. Now have 2 Mastercards and a Visa [if accepted]. Think that should be my lot....

Could be a good alternative to the now defunct Amazon credit card

Oooooh, this looks good - low BT fee of just 1.5% as well. Shame it's MBNA though.

Nothing, I just already have a couple of accounts with them with massive limits - and I'm not sure I'd get accepted for another

Not here, I applied on friday afternoon and was declined.

I have an excellent credit report, four active cards, no missed or late payments, 2 searches in last six months.

My cards are egg (5k on 0%), main spending card is Argos Mastercard paid in full each month, BoS One card for PayPal and a couple of CPA's again paid in full every month and Virgin which I got for 0% transfer last year and shifted to egg a couple of months ago, now only used to get 10% of Virgin train tickets and again paid in full.

I suspect the 5.3k available on Virgin is the reason I was declined as it's also MBNA.

Fancied the card as I tend to use Play more regularly than Argos and it offers similar moneyback.
