Lidl - Car Park Sales

WOW!! WOW!! WOW!!

:j What can I say?

If you see one of these advertised near you - GET THERE!!

Half of car park taken up by pallets with large cardboard containers on them and just about every non-food item they've ever sold in them.

Boxes are marked up as 50p items, £1, £2 etc, but when you actually go to pay (cash only), they just glance at the trolley and throw a figure at you.

I paid £20 for a near trolley full!

I have among the many items - wellies, sandals, water shoes, beach towels, footballs, kids gardening tools, gift boxes, salad servers, wooden pot stands with wheels, cheese grater, carving knives, puzzles, socks, alarm clocks, threads, t-shirts, coat, fleece, pens, thermometre, cat toys, weights, map, stencil kits, hammer, nails etc!

There were also 5 TV's that were snapped up PDQ, clothes airers that went for £2, loads of plastic footstools, tents, parasol bases .......................

So as I said, if you see one advertised in your area, GET THERE!!

:j I went to one of these near me a couple of years ago. GREAT ;) had such a laugh. They only seem to advertise them the week before in the store and as I don't go every week I am scared to death of missing out on one!!
So if anyone hears about one in Stockport let us know!! :rotfl:

Boo hoo, I was at Lidl's both yesterday & today but no car park sale alas.

I've only just started to shop at Lidl's so hopefully I'll eventually get a chance to get some car park bargains.
The bigger the bargain, the better I feel.

I should mention that there's only one of me, don't confuse me with others of the same name.
  • The last time there was one at Skegness my mother-in-law went and she gave this advice......queue up EARLY, and grease your elbows! It was apparently manic but if you are prepared for some bruises then you'll get some AMAZING bargains.

I have never seen this at my local store. I would love to go to one though!

As BusyBody said, they only advertise on photo-copied in-store flyers.

The one I went to was in Bishops Cleeve, Cheltenham. I'm told that they had one about the same time last year, but I unfortunately have no idea how often they do them or where abouts.

I would guess though that if your local store has a decent sized car park, then you stand a fairly good chance of them having one. They have another store right in Cheltenham town, but there's no parking. Must remind my friend in Forest of Dean as Cinderford store has a big car park!!
