Any Tesco savings vouchers about????

As a newbie to all this, I have had these vouchers for a while now (courtesy of Dad, thanks!) and eventually plucked up enough courage to actually use them last night. Used internet ones, wishvalue and some I got through some other freebies that I had sent for. (I love this site!!!!!
) I have to say I was extremely nervous about using them after reading all on this thread and Martins one. Anyway to cut a long story short £21.38 shop, handful of vouchers. Firstly the assistant said that I hadn't bought them so couldn't use. Very embarrassed but with courage this thread has given me, I just said that I didn't need to. Not all scanned, so I told him that he just needed to type in the numbers - he did. Result saving £8.00. Anyway thanks again. I will try again . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . once I pluck up the courage once more. I know I shouldn't be ashamed to be a money saver, but I do feel odd. (put it his way, it took me four weeks of shopping and carrying the vouchers to actually use them!)
Can I just ask a question - how do you get over the embarrassment factor of using the vouchers? :-[ Is it just me? ???No reliance should be placed on the above.0 -
I keep getting a '404' message when I click the vouchers link! It says there is no such page/address.

Click on this link and register and then you can print the vouchers off direct.
Better this way as if there is any comeback with reagrds to the vouchers you can be honest about where you got them from.
And it actually says on one of the pop ups print as many as you like!!!!!!0 -
Since I'm living in a Tesco "free" town, this fantastic offer seems a dream to me. Just wonder has anyone ever tried using these vouchers at Sainsbury? The local Sainsbury does have a fabulous self-check out machine, sure that will avoid embarrassment and unhappy queuers. :PThis is a system account and does not represent a real person. I wouldnt be embarrassed if id cut the coupons out of a mag or some such but I also get very embarrassed if they start messing about and calling the supervisor etc
thats why I keep on at tescos to sort that out
even sometimes with cut out vouchers you get grief
and its not right to humiliate people like that
so I shall keep on at them until they sort themselves out0 -
Thank you so much Cathy. It's made me feel much better to know that I'm not the only one. Agree with you that they need to sort it out and communicate it properly to their staff. Thanks for replying. No reliance should be placed on the above.0

Had a negative experience at Tesco today :-[
Handed over the coupons and cashier said that he didn't know if he could take the vouchers so called over a supervisor.
Presented my letter to cause around 2 minutes of waiting around whilst they saved the transaction and moved me on to the customer services desk. Supervisor comes back and says that they will only accept 10% worth of total, transaction is recovered on the CSD till.
CSD assistant then argues with supervisor (I think she may well have been a supervisor too ;D ) and starts bleating that they have been printed off the internet, any of the products on the coupon have not been purchased and that the coupon scheme was blatantly being abused. Result - call the store manager ::)
Eventually manager arrives and showed letter, again to no avail, and "caved in", accepting 10% off of the total :-/
It did take a lot of arguing from myself, saying words similar to what andreahjh did in Sep 2003 to achieve my measly discount:"it was a bit strange that websites have these vouchers to print off if you can't even use them at Tesco"
Going to blast off an e-mail to Tesco.com customer services now...This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
