I sent Tesco an email yesterday regarding clarification of internet coupons and if they will accept them,as I have been having problems with the local store. Here is there reply:-
Thank you for contacting us regarding our policy on the acceptance of
coupons.
Any coupons, which display the Tesco logo, are Tesco specific. We only
accept these if the products referred to on the coupons are purchased. This
is because we negotiate savings with our suppliers on the condition that
these actual products will be purchased.
With regard to coupons from brand name manufacturers, we are happy to accept
one, even if you have not purchased the product. However, the coupon must be
in date and Tesco must sell the item. If you present more than one identical
coupon, then you must purchase the same number of products.
The above also applies to coupons printed from the internet.
There is no set limit on the amount of coupons you can use, but the
acceptance of a large number of coupons is at the discretion of the Store
Manager.
Thank you for giving me the opportunity to explain our policy.
Regards
Stuart Robertson

I will now go to Tescos with a printout of this letter and see what they do. If anyone wants to print this out to take to Tescos for themselves as clarification, then I will be very interested to hear what the outcome is.0 -
I posted more or less the same letter couple weeks ago
so now we have two from different people
im going to print yours off and see if they argue with both of them

I went to Tescos this morning and bought £38 worth of shopping.Went to the till with some trepidation and gave vouchers I printed off on MSE for £10 and they accepted all of them! I didnt even have to show my letter from Tescos head office, the only comment given by the girl on the till was 'Oh,there printed off the internet arent they' .All were accepted and I saved £10.00!!!cant be bad.
Then when I got home there was £4 of luncheon vouchers fron Pinecone Research for filling out a survey. I now have vouchers from MSE and others for over £12 ,for my next foray to Tescos. It has been a good day.0 -

Had a real ruck with Tesco's last night (at Broughton Chester). They point blank refused to accept the internet coupons :-[ . They checked with the supervisor and manager and they stated it had never been Tesco's policy to accept them. I explained I had redeemed them before at the same shop. Unfortunately I did not have the Leslie McRae email with me. I have written to complain and am awaiting a reply.
The fact is I am a bit of a beginner with this and previously only redeemed 2 or 3 vouchers at a time. This time I presented about £5 worth and got refused. This has dented my confidence.0 -
