Yesterday I went to my local Tescos and they would not accept any Somerfield vouchers at all. Its a real shame as I had over £10 of them. Has anyone had Somerfield vouchers accepted?0

This is a reply i had after asking what their policy was on vouchers,i will be armed with a copy on my next visit!! ps looks like a stock email reply to me.
Thank you for your e-mail.
Thank you for contacting us regarding our policy on the acceptance of
coupons.
Any coupons, which display the Tesco logo, are Tesco specific. We only
accept these if the products referred to on the coupons are purchased. This
is because we negotiate savings with our suppliers on the condition that
these actual products will be purchased.
With regard to coupons from brand name manufacturers, we are happy to accept
one, even if you have not purchased the product. However, the coupon must be
in date and Tesco must sell the item. If you present more than one identical
coupon, then you must purchase the same number of products.
There is no set limit on the amount of coupons you can use, but the
acceptance of a large number of coupons is at the discretion of the Store
Manager.
We are currently accepting coupons for Sainsbury's and Safeway both in our
stores and for on-line Grocery transactions. Just hand your coupons to your
driver when your groceries are delivered. We'll credit your payment card
back at the store and pop a receipt in the post for you. If you are
in-store, just hand these to the cashier.
We're sorry but...
We can only accept Sainsbury's or Safeway branded coupons for money off your
total transaction.
We cannot accept coupons valid only for specific products or departments.
We can only accept up to £15 worth of coupons for one delivery.
You must have met any requirements on the coupon, such as a minimum spend.
We can only accept them against grocery deliveries. We cannot accept them
for deliveries from our warehouses.
We may refuse to accept coupons if they appear to be damaged, defaced,
altered or copied.
This offer applies for a limited period only.
We cannot accept coupons for purchases of tobacco or infant milk formulae.
Excludes ROI.
Kind regards
Gordon MacKenzie

I used internet vouchers last week at Tesco. My tip is to go to the youngest looking checkout person. They seem to take everything! ;D
I just said to the girl 'I have some coupons' and handed over a pile. She took them all. Don't ask if they'll take them (I did the first time and was refused), just hand them over. £8.60 off my shopping ;D ;D ;DKirsten0 -
Just had my e-mail from Tesco Customer Services saying exactly the same as the above. No mention of internet vouchers!
Happy shopping at the weekend!0 -
glad some of you found the hsn tip useful, always answer the survey in a negative way that way you always get 4 75p coupons, the 50p one is oops at the moment it'll be back.
WISH you could get more coupons like anchor, my sister in law always writes my address as ....road when I live at .... drive her letters always get here, if I had a letter sent to ....avenue... crescent....lane etc even if the postcode is slightly out and even if my name is a bit incorrect the post seems to still get through ok. get my drift?
Some of the store staff get confused by internet coupons, hsn are printed from the internet but they aren't internet coupons, an internet coupon would be for something bought at an internet site, you wouldn't expect tesco to take an amazon voucher, this is what they get confused about, there is no difference between one we print or cut out of a paper. An assistant did this to me at tesco and I didn't want to argue in the queue so I took my vouchers to customer services and they gave me hard cash.0 -

Which survey are talking about?0 -
Please can somepne explain to me what these vouchers are? I have read the treads and am utterly confused.
Is it vouchers for 10p off nappies and I can use them off my shopping if I do not buy nappies? Or is it a voucher from Tesco (which I get with clubcard) that I can use in Safeway.
Sorry if this has already been asked and seems stupid but I am a bit naive.
TIA ???0
