Went to Tesco’s yesterday equipped with my £4.20 worth of Sainsbury’s vouchers. The cashier was unsure so called supervisor. Just as supervisor said to cashier she could put through all vouchers manager came and said he would accept only one Sb voucher per transaction. Yet, I’ve used Sb vouchers up to that amount before at the same Tesco branch without any hassle. What a lot of confusion!

I wonder whether Tesco has changed their policy re vouchers from brand name manufacturers since a copy was posted on this board by Rose999 on 05 March 2004. ???

I have had to contact Tescos recently with regards to vouchers/coupons and there policy is that they will take ONE of each that you have internet printed or others.
They have taken a copy of my email at my local store so hopefully I wont have any more problems.

Yesterday I used the £1.50 off £30.00 that sainsburys had sent me at Tescos (didnt spend £30)and that went through ok.

    Clarification
One of each voucher internet or wishvale or magazine etc even if you havent purchased the product.
No maximum providing you do not redeem more than the shopping costs.
This is company policy(although some managers seem to enforce there own policies!!!!).
If you have any probs just email there customer services and they will send you an email confirming this.

You're right, Angela. I went back to the same Tesco branch yesterday and had no problem at all. Therefore it seems that cashiers are not told what to do so now I queue only where I've had no hassle before. ;):)

I do like the £2 durex voucher, it doesn't print that clear though, they can be a bit funny if they can't read them.Could be as good as the veet vouchers.

Why no links here to the finish vouchers or the dettol voucher. I've worked out some little tricks with them little chucks.

Just had a 15 minute wait at Tescos and confusion still rains over accepting money off vouchers / coupons.

I went armed with mum plus one printed vouchers for Durex £2, Ocean Spray 20p and Kelloggs Nutri-Grain 40p.

I went straight to the Customer Service desk for clarification and the lady on Customer Services said 'she would check'. I went off 'round the store and she came and found me and said 'yes, you could use coupons even if you had bought the item'.

When I got to the till the cashier queried the vouchers and got her supervisor over. The supervisor went to check at Customer Services who had though I had hard i.e. magazine vouchers rather than printed of the internet!

The supervisor then took the vouchers upstairs to the cash office! She returned and said they were unsure if they accepted them. By this time I had paid for the goods so she took the £2 Durex voucher and gave me £2 cash from the Customer Service till.

I have now e-mailed Tesco Customer Services so I can take a print out of the e-mail with me next time I go.

    I will keep everyone posted!
