Houses are selling again

No idea to be honest! Been too busy with the degree and kids to really pay much attention to the housing market and indeed this site over the last few months or so.
All gone quiet on the dock front in the paper......We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.0 -
Thing is... I don't recall Pickles ever saying they had stopped selling. Like the docks thing - there never was a problem, never has been a problem, never will be a problem. Next thing he will say the docks has recovered from its problems.
The docks never had a problem tho babe:D0 -
Did you not learn anything from 100 pages of the Felixstowe Docks thread? Or was your mind on other things?FungusFighter wrote: »The docks never had a problem tho babe:D0 -

Babe, my mind's always on other things:D
Think you missed the bit on the Felixstowe thread where Onion Boy said it was all a big mistake and in spite of the redundancies and the pay cuts and loss of trade and loss of the canteen everything was still just tickety fewking boo:rotfl::rotfl:0 -
I hope that's the only thing "Onion Boy" has spouted that you've swallowed.FungusFighter wrote: »Babe, my mind's always on other things:D

Shiver. Just a reminder that I am not female, I know you will ignore it but feel somehow obliged to defend what shred of dignity I have left on here.FungusFighter wrote: »Dirty girl;)
How's things in your area hon?

Things in my area? Bad, getting worse, outlook poor. Or from the bull viewpoint booming again. No seriously - it's not good.0 -
I wish I lived in England, just like the majority of posters on MSE. There seems to be some great bargains to be had. I just can't believe that people do not want to move on with their lives. I have rented since last November and hate it. Can't wait to move into my new house. I couldn't live in limbo like this for years in the hope that house prices fall further. Life is just too short. Feel sorry for the FTB's, if I was new to the market then I wouldn't be able to afford much.
Scotland is not seeing the big losses as areas of England have. In Perth, the majority of houses which have been on for a while have now been snapped up. Things are shifting. Granted, they won't have got the price that they were originally on at. A lot of the houses are probably going for around £5-10K off of the home report valuation (for new houses to the market). Prices are still holding strong in the areas of town in the catchment for the good primary schools. However, in the good areas, silly people are not negotiating well and aren't giving themselves a cushion incase of any further falls - silly people.0 -
All 4 houses in my street (including mine) are now sold although how many go through to completion is another matter. The property we are hoping to buy had been on for a few months and 3 others that have come on since have also all sold. Our friends have also just sold their cottage in a village which has been on since Oct although for 40k below original price. We sold ours within the week for what the estate agent reckoned - which was 5k under asking. We are in North Hampshire.0
