Pigsback - Curly too fat to care?

I see from snippets in other posts that i'm not alone in being ripped off by Pigsback,
whilst i only lost £23 worth of rewards as a result of "porky"'s negligence, it is the principal.
I'm so frustrated by the contempt the pig is showing me and other members and really want them to know, pay,be held accountable for their woefull customer service.
Unfortunately i firstly don't know how common this is and secondly have no idea what i can do about it.
So i'm sorry if this post is a bit disjointed/confusing but what i'd like is for people (or if i'm luckt enough p'raps even Martin) to
1) let us know if you've been the victim of the suspect swine
2)whether or not you've managed to get porky to take his head out of the trough for more than a cursory "tough luck" email
and what i'd like most is ideas on how we can get a better response from the fat pig.
Is it worth mentioning to trading standards? Or since i've had £23worth of points (tho porky claims thats actually £20vouchers) STOLEN - should i contact the police. (they probably wouldn't be interested for £23 but if this is a recurring thing which it certainly appears to be then its a lot more than just my £23 - maybe if all of us together who've been let down by porky are worth enough the police may take a look)
And policy - the pigs policy of charging admin and p&p then failing to even send securely and expecting the member who ordered in good faith to take the loss - surely that can't be legal. i always thought when i ordered things online that the onus was on the sender to take reasonable steps to ensure delivery, which surely means if they failed to insure against loss (especially after taking an admin fee - twice in my case) then THEY not I should then bear that loss if it goes missing. Had they had my vouchers signed for - THEY would have been able to prove it was (pigsback claim)the post office that were responsible and could have claimed it back from them.BUT they didn't and now i've paid for his negligence.
Anyone have any ideas?
i s'pose i'd better just quickly give the facts in my case
i ordered 2 x £10 boots vouchers (costing £23 in piggy points - the £3 suposedly being admin and postage )
they haven't turned up so i emailed them to recieve this email -
Thanks for your email. The only conclusion we can reach is that your order must have gotten lost in the post. Pigsback now operate a 'no-resend' policy and although we do not hold a proof of posting for your exact order (only for Recorded Mail), I can assure you your order was dispatched as order dispatchments are logged and checked daily by our staff here and our stock numbers reflect on the numbers we have against the rewards ordered on our website.

As a goodwill gesture, I will credit your account with 100 PiggyPoints to kick start your piggybank balance again. I hope you understand that Pigsback can no longer swallow the costs of Royal Mails mistakes as it is of such high value and Pigsback would not like to have to increase the cost of Rewards to their members to subsidise this either. Thank you for your understanding.

i emailed them again - explaining that i felt their response was totaly unsatisfactory and in fact insulting but as with on their forum they have chosen to now simply ignore me.
i don't know why i surprised at not getting more than a grunt out of a pig, i'm
not even bothered about getting my vouchers any more - but it will iritate me beyond if the fat pig gets away with it and continues to exploit and make a living on the backs ofother members with impunity.
Help please - the Fat Pig needs some rendering!

I'd email and ask them to give you details of the gift voucher numbers, I don't know of any stores whose gift vouchers don't have serial numbers on the back.

Pigsback should have a record of what vouchers they've been sent by the storee, and what they send out to people, if they don't I'd be very concerned about how they run their company!

They should have the serial numbers, as Xaviera says, and if they give them to you then you can use the serial numbers/voucher numbers for Internet shopping.

I had over £20 worth of points wiped from my account and when I complained I was told that they had only been there because of an error in the first place.
I don't thing that there is much that can be done and I just don't bother with them any more because the negative experiences are so stressful to me and they are not made up for by any vouchers which I have managed to gain in the past.
  • Really not good heli2265 and I can understand how annoyed you are. I have been trying to order £50 worth of Amazon evouchers (sob sniff sniff took ages to get) and they are out of stock!!

Its day 13 now of my Amazon quest ...bangs head on wall....and as said almost two weeks ago 'they will be in stock this coming week'. So i asked can i pre-order or even be contacted...but sadly no...'evouchers are so popular they sell out very qucikly'... wonder why??

So as an effort to secure my evouchers i check the site once an hour up until midnight and even get OH to do the 4am site check when he gets up for work. With all this activity i might win the 5000 piggy points for This week's Top Trotter and official Pigsback.com addict is.. yes i can see its tempting to laugh.......

    Apparently not!

which is why i hold them responsible ! they chose not to get proof despite taking 300 points for admin- they surely should therefore bear the loss!

Apologies for the delay in replying to your email. I can confirm that your reward was processed on the 16th March and sent within 3 working days. We have daily procedures in place to make sure all rewards are processed and posted. Unfortunately all rewards can not be sent by registered post as this would be too expensive. Only rewards to the value of 60 GBP or more are sent by registered post.

sooo. i've now emailed again - basicaly saying since you charged me £3 etc - admin -at the very least could you send me the serial numbers for the vouchers you claim to have sent - since if you won't i will go to the police - this is theft and its not just me who has been stolen off - i still can't believe pigsback aren't concerned.
    see what they say now

Sounds good, if you don't get any luck you could casually mention The Office of Fair Trading/Consumer Direct/Trading Standards. :p

Hope you manage to get them, can understand your frustration and I do think Pigsback are being well wriggly!
  • I had points wiped from my account ages ago and when I complained, I was told they 'expired' :(

Also I ordered something from Argos via Pigsback back in February and I never got any points, is it worth complaining?

so they send over £60 recorded even though it is not covered as recorded only goes up to £36 mmm glad i stopped using them.

Just write them off and use a real cashback site. Im sure you can find another site that does a quiz for points/prizes and then copy and paste the answers from somewhere else.
If i upset you don't stress, never forget that god aint finished with me yet.
