    Morning

    Pen-Pen :grouphug:

    Halight - glad you're back

Off to town after my shower, and will call and see my Dad on the (long) way home.

Dinner tonight will be a raid of the fridge to see what needs using up, there is one portion of lamb from the joint on Sunday, some cauliflower cheese, a couple of YP's and certainly some pork fillets which are ready for cooking. I may find more lurking at the back:eek:

    Be good

Lovely to see you here Halight- my goodness the twins are coming on! Hope your appointment comes through soon.
PP - sorry you didn't have a good night. Hope tonight gives you a better sleep.
To all with exam kids - good luck and keep the nerves nice and steady! I am a great believer in the saying that you can only do your best on the day, with the questions given. So, revise, revise, revise (with rest and fun as well!!) but then just go for it on the day.

Damp day here but sun trying to get through.
Tea is sausage rolls (from MrM bakery bit - lovely), baked pots, cabbage, carrots and maybe peas. Need to get the freezer finally cleaned out. Been saying this for weeks now.
Anyone read the India Knight thrift book? I finally got it from the library and ....I love it!! Not everyone's cup of tea but |I like her writing style and think she has done a lot of research re all the websites she lists. I think I might actually buy it and that's saying something as I am a bit of a bookaholic who has cut down the amount of books and put bags and bags to charity shops. But, it won't be to everyone's taste and is not as thrifty as a lot on here anyway. She does recommend MSE as the expert site it is.
    Ok, must run.

    Hello Everyone

Late posting for me as been getting on this morning, bedding in washing machine, kitchen spotless and have hovered and washed the floors.

Now in office sorting out some cashflow as has unexpected bill of over £2K - more debt busting is required this week. Managed to get stuff on ebay last night at long last - will try and get a couple more bits on each day. Also have a bootsale planned this weekend weather permitting.

DS was off early to school today as has taster day at one of the high schools - he was really looking forward to it.

Have hospital this afternoon with OH, will hopefully find out if they want to do anything with his heart or leave it be. Its 45 mins each way so that is the whole afternoon gone.

Therefore dinner will be something very simple probably scrambled eggs on toast.

Have tesco shop coming tomorrow - still seems to be getting dearer each week. Must stick to the menu plan this week.

Glad to see you back Halight

Bethebee - that room sounds fantastic.

    Have a great day everyone.

WMF - I really liked India Knights Book, I know we know a lot of the stuff but also there is a lot of websites in there - I have read it and am going back through it writing all the websites down. I think especially its really good for people who are resisting cutting back - she makes it seem much more glamorous. :rotfl:

DD is sticking to a strict revision rota that she has made up. She has exams after the holidays next week. They meet with their invigilators (sp) this FRiday and told where they have to sit etc.

That's a new one. When I was at school/sixth form/Uni we had to sit where our name was and first we saw of our invigilators was in the exam hall.. How long have schools been doing this?

Reminds me of all those scenes on tv where you see kids getting their results in the post. We always had to go down to the school and queue to get our slips or have the results posted on a board.

Glad to see Halight back with us. Sorry you haven't been so good. Wish you well mate.

I picked it up on Amazon for about £1.50 (+ P&P) - I really liked it, quite a few good ideas in there.
