I thought there were jobs out there, well there are where I am.
Not as many as a couple of years ago and may be not with the same pay but there are always jobs out there.
I'm always interested in why people say that they can't find work, in my opinion there is always work maybe not what you would like to do but there seems to be work in restaurants or supermarkets even part time work.
Interestingly, that has always been my opinion too. And maybe that was once the case. But having gone through a "I'll take anything, the first job that comes up that I am physically able to do" stage I was absolutely aghast at what's out there (or rather, not).
There's also an issue that if your CV clearly points to a, I hesitate to use the expression "higher level job" as all jobs are equally valuable, indeed some "lower level" jobs are actually more valuable to society, but you know what I mean. If your CV points to you having been at a certain level shall we say, then employers of lower paid jobs are reluctant to take you on as they know damn well that you're simply marking time till you find a job more suited. Therefore your motivation is perceived to be non existent (whether that's the case or not) and they know you'll be out of there like a shot the very moment a sniff of a more suitable job comes along.
All of which makes the "fallback job" much harder to obtain than you'd think. That's not making excuses, it's just how it is (and I was surprised to find that).Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. The only thing that will have gone against you with Mercedes is your lack of experience in the motor trade. Nail the Ford job, get the experience and in future you will be able to choose your marque.
Why don't you request some feedback from them?
Have done just that, more info in todays blog post (and another Job Centre rant!).

I had a quick look last night Max and spotted a couple of jobs that on paper might seem to have fitted your MO. But I'm sure you've seen them and either applied or found out they're not what they seemed to be. They were on the reed site... and I don't mean the Pizza Hut manager opportunity that seems to have over 1500 applicants0

Aha Pastures, I've worked out your cunning plan.... You are going to form a new band with Noel Gallagher, he's let it slip I'm afraid:

The guitarist said: "I feel you have the right to know that the level of verbal and violent intimidation towards me, my family, friends and comrades has become intolerable.
"And the lack of support and understanding from my management and bandmates has left me with no other option than to get me cape and seek pastures new."Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Hey ho PN,
Thanks for that. I've spotted a couple recently too which I'd guess are the same ones. Estate agent and car sales? (PM me if not and/or want to be a little more specific). Given my latest situation I think I'm just about back to applying for anything/everything... :undecidedHi, we’ve had to remove your signature.
