Hello Carol22,
Thanks for the information about the tree.
It's not that I can't be organised, but you'd never call me consistent - my worst thing is the bathroom - I admit it - don't really like doing that job plus I never seem to keep the ironing down to a dull roar - so end up spending hours on a Sunday doing it. Until dd fell ill, I'd been trying very hard to stick to hhi per day, but it fell by the wayside, hence the huge pile now. And I'm easily sidetracked, so will not keep to any list I have made - so I might take two days tidying the kitchen cupboards to within an inch of their lives, but the rest of the place will be a health hazard - that's why I need to be organised. Over the past few weeks have been doing some things using the original flylady. However, am getting overwhelmed by the posts, so I quite like the idea of the MSE offshoot - partially because it's more 'UK' language.
Linda

Hi noapron i have just sent you a private message welcoming you to the thread.
As Carol said you do seem to be pretty organised so you should have a great time.
Take it steady and don't try to do it all for the weekend. Have a great Birthday and remember babysteps or you will get overwhelmed and dejected if you can't keep up.
You will love it and in a few weeks your house will look so different. Don't forget to tell your friends the secret and get them flying too xxx:beer: Officially Debt Free Nov 2012 :beer:0 -

Morning lovely flyladies and gents!

I think you should grab a coffee at this point!!!
muckypup congratulations on the pregnancy - now put that duster down and rest!:rotfl: seriously I hope you can get some order installed to make life easier but dont be overdoing it!
Valli WTG honey :T:T:T- congratulatuions on clearing your credit cards - I am so chuffed for you - brilliant:D:D
mummyyof5 I hope you have had 'words' with the school regarding DD2 - that is a dreadful way to treat her - I hope she gets to sit her exams.
Dusty how is the leg/ankle - I hope the pain and the swelling has gone - you are a bit naughty for not having it looked at!
Oddjob hope your mouth is better now after the extractions - how is all the family?
Justamum your Dh sounds like a lovely Dad.
boddy do you like your new suite?
greenbee - CV's are not meant to be fun - I hope you have it sorted out now - if not..................................?
AnW's Mum - love the tree house! is that for when I come to visit?
DayDreambeliever how scary for you all - hope your dad has made a good recovery.
emily hope you are feeling better and you and DH are getting things sorted.
Dustykitten wrote: »Quick cuppa and then strict face on for me.
Oh Dusty this made me giggle - I dont believe you have a strict face - you are to nice for that!!
LilySue I know I am a perfectionist too and it makes everything hard work doesnt it? I have been trying really hard to accept that things are 'good enough' and not spend hours on jobs.
MOF77 you need to talk to the doctors and get them to explain more fully why they are doing this -your DD and you are very brave and of course you are scared. Its not unusual for the immune system to be suppressed - often it is working 'overtime' and causing problems - thats whats happens with me.
sexy glad your Mum is healing well - nice for her to be able to drive again.
gingernut WTG with the weight loss - congratulations:T
ZCC72 hope you are feeling better and more in control again- only aim for one job a day and be well chuffed if you manage it - if you try to do the whole house you will only get disappointed with yourself and down again. (((hugs)))
Lil_me hope your chest infection has gone- and what a PITA about your tutor - can you complain -it seems she is not doing her job supporting you all - once you can forgive but no tutorials at all is a bit much IMHO!
Soappie and Valli thanks again for the brilliant job of doing the stars last week.:A
Justamum hugs honey - it must be so frustrating and worrying for both of you - at least she has agreed to move so hopefully Dh will be able to get the ball rolling and things will happen quickly - I hope its not too long before she is able to travel.
Rach I hope your friend has recovered from last week - thank goodness you were there ....again - thats twice recently you have been on hand in an emergency - a real guardian angel you are!!
iriedaughter (((hugs))) honey - I see things are no better for you - keep trying to chip away at your bedtime - make a limit and try hard to stick to it - even if you can be in bed 15 mins earlier for a whole week and keep pushing the dealine back I am sure you will feel better - you might feel brighter and more organised to get some things done in the morning.
SSL 60 teenagers - are you completely insane:rotfl::eek::rotfl::eek:
PrincessJane - I hope you have fully recovered now that MIL has left the country- have they given you any idea when they are going to be back so you can book a holiday away then - what a bout doing a house swap with them???:rotfl:
Hippy oooooh honey have you got a list of jobs to do too - I need to get cracking with mine again as I think I have another 80 lined up again:eek::rotfl:
michelle hi honey - nice to see you popping in even if you do sound totally cream-crackered - poor love - you do very well and dont be putting yourself down it is NOT ALLOWED - more positive thinking please!!!!!! Those 2 wee monkeys are a full time job and even more so now that Lo is on his feet - hope you have recovered and are nearly fighting fit again - sooon be hols!!!
embb Lily is so cute - she likes the warmth and the faint vibration from the pc - it will remind her of her Mum's heart/purring - the same with you - you are warm and comforting and she will like to be on you for safety!
TAG I am sorry to learn you have separated from MR TAG but i hope it will help sort things out for you both - one way or another. (((hugs))) hope you are back with us soon.
Abbie hope dad's operation has gone ahead now and the outcome has been good (((hugs))) and prayers for you all - and wishing you an easy pregnancy too.
vanilla baby Rhys is so cute - thank you for posting - I hope you are both doing well.
sexy hope you and Moon have managed to sort out your housing problems - how worrying
Sunnygirl I am impressed - well done with your run - that was excellent - have you recovered?
natty glad you are still around - have you had any treatment for your twitter addiction:rotfl::rotfl:
bevan840 are you another naughty flylady that is overdoing things - you have to behave or I will not give you stars!:rotfl:
G&B hope LO is on the mend (((hugs))) for you both
Jo well done on sticking to your decisions - you need to be in control of the situation.
mummy2mygirls nice to see you - sit and enjoy freya while you can - she will be under your feet soon enough - try to do a little when she sleeps but dont get stressed - quality time with the girls is far more important
Triker awh honey poor you - soot can make such a terrible mess - have you managed to get cleaned up now?
Penny I get the impression you might be on holiday - would you prefer to be at work?:rotfl::rotfl: hope you have a brilliant time and get all the things done that you are aiming for.
Mozzy thats brilliant news about the house - you have been working so hard you deserve it - so its all systems go for 'Down Under' now is it??? I am delighted for you. Will keep everything crossed that it all goes through ok - whats the settlement date? xx
Juliejim hope you got all the paperwork sorted for your holiday
SGT I can see I will have to crack the whip- that list of yours doesnt seem to have shrunk very much:rotfl:
Justamum you def must mention everything that DS has been bothered with - they may need to change his meds or up the dosage.
Greenbee thanks for the offer of books and DVD's but I have plenty for now thanks - I was reading the book one of you sent me "how I lived for a year on a £1 a day" in hospital - it is very good - not quite what I expected but I am enjoying it.
Quillion you are a star - thank you so much for doing this week's stars AND the welcomes - its a great relief that it has been so well looked after:A I hope your friend's operation goes well and she is home soon then you 2 can recouperate together!! You need to be taking it easier - you know its going to take about 6 weeks to recover from an operation so please be a good patient- I will be keeping an eye on you now!!!:rotfl:
Lil_me well done to DP on passing his test :T
Boddy I am soo glad DD doesnt have a clot - do they know what the problem was - hope she has improved by now. What a worry that must have been. And WTG you - your training for the new job sounds very good and its great that you have met the rest of the team.
msgnomey well done on the weight loss and congratulations on the new car - lucky lady!!!
Flower (((hugs))) hope your Mum has got over her loss.
Dusty honey have a huge squishy hug - dont be feeeling guilty about DS2's schoolwork - it wasnt intentional and if you werent a good parent you would not be worrying about it. Hope you manage to resolve the problem with him and the school. Remember you can always pm me if you want to let off steam.
DenizeNZ what a lovely thing to do taking in foreign students - I hope you get 2 nice ones that dont give you any hassle - where are they from?
SSL Hi honey - how are you - hope the holiday was good - Dont you dare come visiting me until I am tidy!!!!!:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: Its major CHAOS here at the moment!
kscour dont despair hun, no matter how little you manage to do it will help keep things a little under control - hope LO is better now - I will be reading that thread when I get caught up - thanks for posting about it.
G&B I am sooooooooooooooooo jealous of you getting to see Angels & DEmons - I devoured the book and watch The Da Vinci Code over and over.
AnW's Mum well done on still more de-cluttering and good luck with the fence.
FunFairPrincess hi honey - how are you and Piper-well done getting your essay finished - you need to start thinking of the next one now - nag nag nag:rotfl::rotfl: have you had more contact with SS - is he ok?
Rosepink good to see you are getting training - keep at it and you will soon get proper work. I dont know how you can watch jeremy Kyle some of these people begger belief. If you want to have a baby then you should make that your ultimate dream and work towards it - you are young and it could easily be your 5 or 10 year goal - make a journal about how it needs to be reached (paying off debts, suitable housing, your health etc etc) - give yourself some realistic deadlines for some of the smaller jobs and work on making your dream come true - its in your hands. You should try an A-Z while trying to get to sleep -its been a great help to me since SGT suggested it. Try A-Z of dogs tonight. And make twitter a reward for doing your housework - you need to be firm with yourself and not look at it until you have finished something - its so easy to get distracted.
Rose you have often posted about tidying your recycling paper and cardboard - do you not have an outside bin to put it in? It would make such a difference to the flat if you got rid of it everyday and it would be a bit of exercise for you going up and down the stairs - I know its scary for you to go outside but you are not going far and I know you can do it.
Quillion re the christening present - what about a silver charm bracelet - A full size one that you can add charms to every year as her godparents - it is something she will always have and will wear when older - or a silver photo frame. And you need to rest a bit - you have a busy weekend ahead and you dont want to be worn out at the christening.
Hex I finally got my Gardening magazine - I had to email as it hadnt arrived and they sent another - what a lovely read - thank you. xx
Lil_me - you are getting me all excited about your trip away - just reading about you getting the 'van ready is so much fun! I hope you have a brilliant time!
juliejim sounds like you are ready for a break - hope you have a lovely time - and I hope the school are dealing seriously with the bully - thats not good.
Hippy hiya honey - its soo good to see you posting again
mumofjusttwo (((hugs))) hey dont be hard on yourself and if you get it seen to soon it wont need major work and so going to the dentist wont become a problem - make sure you have a treat with her afterwards (but not a sugary one!!!) - maybe go to feed the ducks or something she really likes.
jet77 glad you are enjoying your new job and Well Done to DD1 for being a great help - its good for the children to help and get used to looking after themselves and their rooms - and you shouldnt have to do everything.
greenbee the concentrated vibes sound great - what about sunday when we are waiting for the new thread? it may be more difficult just now as loads of people are going away on hols - just let me know what time/day and i will oblige. As for the visualisation - I can help there - its about the shape of a lemon and slightly smaller - its positioned just fractionally on the right of my cleavage - actually its on the top of my right lung just where the right airway branches into the right lung - HTH!!
Jo - I think you had better get saving for next year's visit to OZ!
Triker (((hugs))) for Dh - hope it isnt anything serious - you have both had enough this year - can you get the Doc out to see him since he is not fit to go for his appointment? And what about the contents insurance for cleaning up the LR - or do you not want to bump up your premiums?
Noapron - love the name - welcome to the thread Linda, Quillion has been doing welcomes for me while I have been MIA but I just wanted to say that you have a pretty good routine going there - dont go mad trying to do the whole house at once or you will be worn out and you want to be able to enjoy your birthday.
sexy think I will give M&S a miss then!! I hope there are loads of suitable jobs for you to apply for and you get a school thats convenient and friendly.
Soappie dont know if you are reading this - but hope the holiday has been good and you feel refreshed ready to continue with plan B - the idea about including the book for next year is brilliant - just the *kick* you were needing.
Pigpen continued get well and coping vibes for you - hope today's exam went well - is that you on holiday from college for a week? maybe you will get a chance to recover - I think the flying flylady team should descend on you!
I am delighted to see so many new names and I hope you all enjoy being on the thread and begin to feel that you are regaining your home.
Well done to all the newbies who are achieving stars :T:T:T and a huge well done to all the regulars who get their stars every week:T:T:T
And once again a huge Thank you to Quillion for doing the stars this week.
Thank you too to Anw's Mum, Soappie, Lady-Liberty, Jodi and Sarah supergirl for their texts messages - I had to hide in the loo to read them most of the time but they were a great support.
And once again Thank you for all the kind wishes and lovely thoughts while I was in hospital and the 'welcome home' messages. You are truly amazing people and I love you all.

Tootles - I don't call writing that epic post resting!!!! My dad is enjoying the talking books and says to say thankyou again. Hope you're feeling a little better xx
Sexymouse - hope the perfect job comes up soon. I remember visiting Leigh Park when I worked for the RSPCA. We had to rescue about 30 cats from a house....it was really sad.
It is wet here this morning. Walked the dogs and got wetter than wet. I don't think my skin is waterproof anymore....that's how wet it was. Then a car drove past and sent a tidal wave over me and the dogs. I'm not kidding, it was like the cartoons you see. The plus side was we were all covered in mud from the park and it, quite literally, washed it all off the dogs!!!
Today's list is completed. Sorry, I should have said that louder...I said 'today's list is completed' - thanks quillion.
Four loads of washing to do now and I need to work out why stripes is staring at me....she's been outside, she's eaten, she's had a cuddle.....she looks like she's trying to get me to mind read what she's thinking! Daft pup!
Hugs to everyone especially tootles, LL and pigpoo xx
ETA - i'm in for the tootle vibes too xx0 -
