Hi, i came on yesterday - im quite a newbie and got lost of debts - the probem is me n OH self-employed and whilst i can take a wage for him - mine is very variable, a few ppl suggested i write down my debts, starting with personal and deal with business debts later. I think that if i got my personal debt sorted then there wouldnt be as much pressure for me to take as much from the business and there wouldnt be a problem paying the business bills??

Not a lot we can do without knowing your income and monthly expenditure.
I know from your thread last night that you do not have a regular income from your business, but we'd need at least a breakdown of your income from benefits/cleaning/dad staying with you, and a list of monthly expenditure - including stuff like Christmas/birthdays/one-offs - then we might have some ideasHighest Debt (Sept 04) -> £41,300Debt Free - August 2006!!

Yep i have been thinking about this- alos we have a van for the business and its for sale so i will have some money left over from that once its sold, this can at least go towards paying the business debts of and getting me back on track in that area at least.
Any advice - from anyone would be very welcome!!!!!!!Focusing on clearing the credit cards in 2018 :T0 -
if i was you i would concentrate on getting those debts you have with high APR down try getting a 0% intrest credit card and balance transfer and or a cheeper loan APR.
I think you have to give sky 30 days notice to terminate your contract
im sure someone more knowledgeable will be along soonMum to 2 beautiful daughters born Oct 05 & Oct 08

Hiya, it's difficult to give an answer as there are chunks missing e.g. electricity, food, gas, water......
My obs on what you have listed so far would be a huge????? to a sky bill of £42.50, the basic package is £15 and I would class that as a luxury (thats the package I have as its the only way to get a tv picture where I live but will be switching to freesat v.v.soon!!)Debt free = December 2010...as of March 2006 it is now January 2010..... as of December 2008 it is now December 2009 :j hopefully sooner!!:jDEBT FREE:j January 2012, took longer but I got there, all by myself, through sheer hard work and pride!0 -
According to that list, your outgoings p/month are £1824.41 - which should mean you have over £400 left each month.
Does that list of outgoings include ALL your debt repayments? Food? Contents/buildings insurance? Car MOT/Servicing/Petrol? Water? Electricity? Gas? Christmas?
We need to know what you're exact circumstances are, otherwise we really can't advise. At the moment, with the info you've given us so far, it looks like you should have plenty of money!
To make it easier for us to read it, could you show:
Income (including total)
Expenditure (everything - with subtotal)
Debt (totals, minimum repayments, APRs)
Sorry, I know it seems like a lot of info to provide, but its impossible to see where you are with the list as it isHighest Debt (Sept 04) -> £41,300Debt Free - August 2006!!

Hi Dotty gotta whizz off in a mo put the boys to bed well done on getting your bits sorted for us.
Is powergen your usual bill  or is this backpayments on top?
If getting 0% deals i out of the question theres a thing called the credit card shuffle you can try also..shuffle the higher apr debts onto the cards with lower aprs..
Can you get the kids to take packed lunches?0 -

Hi the £50 per week cleaning, i have only been getting for 2 weeks, im behind on a few payments on cards etc so im trying to play catch up without missing any more payments.
The list of expenses should have included £104.00 school dinners
also, not taken into account food? etc
My car fuel, insurance etc are taken out of the business but like i said im having trouble there too as im straining the business trying to pay all my monthly outgoings. im more confused than anything?Focusing on clearing the credit cards in 2018 :T0 -
