It is a really good size (hopeful of saving lots!!). I'm off tyo paint him now ... i'll try and post a pikky of him when his paint has dried in the microwave (???!):D

Well I have painted him ... but I'm no good at doing pictures on here I'm afraid, so I'll describe him instead! He has pink ears, black eyes and trotters, a pink curly tail and a fat belly with "Please Feed Me" on one side and "I'm Hungry" on the other.
This morning we banked £15 from our old quality street jar of loose change and then once I'd painted piggy my son has spent ages putting the remaining coins in his tummy to start him off!! :D

    Hi All

A more productive day today. OH found £2 on the pavement - so that will go straight in piggy, used £0.70 of vouchers in Tesco, and got a dividend cheque for £3.45. I have also managed to list a couple of vouchers on ebay. I must start keeping tabs on this money on a spreadsheet

I am trying to only save non salary related money for the kitchen (vouchers, ebay, quidco etc) and I can't wait to see my sisters face when I say our new kitchen was 'free', as she thinks I am a bit odd. She used to refuse to carry any loyalty cards and on going to the same small supermarket each day eventually told the cashier that she earnt so much she did not collect points
Now with 2 kids she is always complaining about now having enough money

    Good luck to all

First emptying of the cow has resulted in £35! Not bad at all for a load of coppers.

So that's £30 in the bank and two pints for myself...
  • A free kitchen - love to see her face!
The emptying of the cow got you 2 oints teeb - £5 that sure is expensive milk!!!!!!!!!!
  • I've update my total - the £1000 was £2 coin savings and the rest didn't go too badly, got £50 in ebay sales, also got another £40+ in paypal, but that will go over to next month, so not a cold start -I won't get the money until some time in November - wheres the year gone?
Will soon get my Nov mortgage statement, hasn't gone too badly this month, shut down 2 credt card accounts - they were on 0% and paid them off, so kissed goodbye to them, making my finances simpler as well!
Thats my lot for this month!

Well - I can't update my totals, as our home PC has broken - but I must get on and try the Barclays challenge for the house insurance HQ recommended.

I will count out the money in piggy tomorrow (end of month) - I'm still not sure when OH puts money in, but piggy seems ot be rattling.,

HQ well done on your efforts
