Thanks Laurie, actually, looking at my first mortgage statement, i owed £92K, because of a load of charges they added on (i did get £1000 back) so from £92K im down to £83.5K, i can hardly believe it!!!!! Hope to stay on target to pay it off in 10 years now (rather than the 27 left)0

Wow well done Catowen :j , roughly how much do you overpay each month? we have 12 years left and would love this to be paid off much sooner.0
-
I try to pay £300 extra each month (not always possible) and some months i can get quite a bit more from the mortgage pig from the paid 2 clicks i do, and any extra little jobs or savings i make!!!!0

Thats fantastic! Way to go!!
I'm glad we all post our progress on here as it keeps us focusses and I love to hear about everyone owing less to the banks!0 -
I go on the lightspeed panels I'm up to £10.40, can with draw when i've got £25, its free so I don't mind!
Some people sell their pigsback vouchers on ebay - I think theres probably people that can't get to the shops and buy them for sending as presents so you get near the face value - if you want to make cash out of them.
I've done quite well so far this year on pineconeresearch although I don't know if they are recruiting at the moment - thats surveys for luncheon vouchers which all supermarkets will take as payment for your grocery shopping.
What is the free fivers and mutuals points please?0 -

Well Peppa the Pink Pigsback Mortgage Pig is filling up nicely with £2 and 20p. At the last count I had nearly £50 in there and only started it in late July!! Hubby is now contributing to it too, since I stuck it on the Kitchen Worktop!! We also have a smaller "James" Pig for coppers and siler with about £10 in there and £6 already bagged of coppers!!

Once I get to £50 I shall be off down to the bank with my bucketful of change to take it off the mortgage. :T
Oh and I made my first overpayment today...£50 from my current account...just to see if it worked...:rotfl:
I'm aiming for a budgeted £50/month off the mortgage and any savings I make will be rounded up at the end of the month and added onto it...aiming for minimum of £100 in total off the mortgage each month!
