Congratulations!!! I'm going to try and persuade the OH that we need a pig....although Mickey Mouse might have to do!! But all proceeds are now for the mortgage which clearly has far to long to go on it!!! Have to check if I can make overpayments otherwise I'll just have to stick it in a high interest account until I can!!!

Have been inspired to get my own pig and have named him Jasper. As I don't have a mortgage he'll be known as my mortgage deposit pig and will live on top of my tv!

well i've swapped my miss piggy for the one that arrived from pigsback (its clear so i can watch it build up) and have renamed him percy as he looks like a chap. its already been 'fed' £30 in £2 coins so its quite inspiring! As we dont have a mortgage yet I'm saving up for a nice weekend away!

My new mortgage pig arrived this morning!!!! So chuffed with him, have put all the loose change from my purse into him to start him off!!!! Just need to find him a name now, and hope i get lots of change to get my mortgage going down!!!!

My pig also finally arrived today, :j He's been introduced to the family and has been named morty. (Yes they think i'm mad! ) Fed him £20 to get him started. I can't wait for my first trip to the BS

This thread is about keeping a piggy bank at home and saving pennies and pounds in it which goes towards mortgage at the end of the month. The piggy bank for the purpose of motivation and reminder to save money?

Truthfully it is tedious to read long posts and even worse to read long threads, hence the clarification.

Where can I get the pig aliasojo?

I got to add that this is for a friend when I suggested her of this idea and got stuck when she asked about the pig. Personally I do not take money from the bank that I do not need, so a piggy bank would be relatively empty.

You really don't need to trawl through the whole thread if you don't want to.....the first post says it all really, as does the quote below, taken from post 28 on the first page.

You asked where you could get the pig.......there isn't A particular pig or A particular place to get one, although I am on the lookout for Herman-alikes at the moment. People should buy or use whatever pig or alternative animal appeals to them.
