Oh, good news aless - I've only had one nice MW - that was on my last visit and I bet I don't see her again.0

I say "he" quite a bit, but honestly am still paranoid he might be a she! The tech at the scan seemed quite certain, but honestly we just couldn't see it, the picture quality wasn't that great. So we're leaning towards boy, but hedging our bets, just in case. I don't think we've really come up with much for cute names though, we had enough trouble just deciding on regular baby names!! LOL
Aless - that is great! I am one of the people that was complaining about lack of continuity of care - my midwife has been changed partway through (without any warning due to a job change), then the new one was off for holiday for awhile and I had to see a different one, then I get shifted to GP appointments for 1/2 the time. It does get frustrating. Soo lucky for you to have one that you can rely on the whole time!MSE mum of DS(7), and DS(4) (and 2 adult DCs as well!)DFW Long haul supporters No 210:snow_grin Christmas 2013 is coming soon!!! :xmastree:0 -
Afternoon all
Haven't been here for a while - hope I've not missed anything major! Hugs & kisses, labour vibes, etc in advance to you all.
Got 2nd scan tomorrow morning, but DH can't get time off, short-staffed. SIL to collect little 'un from playschool so I've no probs there. Veering between really excited to very nervous, don't know why. DH says he now wants to know flavour, after weeks of dithering. Says it's going back if it's a girl! (If you'd had our DD from the age of 11 onwards you'd understand his reluctance to have another daughter!)
Next week is follw-up MW appt after scan, it will be only the 3rd time I've seen any of them & I'll be over 21 weeks by then.
Too hot to play out here, DS asleep, but got to wake him as little boy I childmind's coming soon.
Car in garage AGAIN, so using bus for shopping - absolute pain when we've just run out heavy stuff (tins, veg, squash, juice, etc) & got to drag toddler on bus!
Off to stick feet in bath of cold water, then wake toddler - will pop back later on.

Rose, I use the asda sensitive on DS2 as pampers etc (even pampers sensitive) give him nappy rash! They are great, and he is 4 years old, so you can imagine the poop! :rotfl: Plus they don't have that sickly smell that pampers have.
And with DS2 I was off work from about 20ish weeks with SPD, think officially it was 24 weeks, as untill then I was off with hyper emesis. You will be glad to know that apart from a few weeks about the 16 week mark when I was sore, I've been lucky enough not to get it again this time. I'm 28 weeks tomorrow.
I'm 28 weeks tomorrow! And that was my main target:D:D I have however fell out with my BP moniter. Keeps giving high readings. No headache today, well a bit but nothing worrying. MW on thursday, growth scan the following wednesday. Assesment went great today, took me a whole.... 15mins! Me, I'm dead clever me
Salad box with mexican tuna and mexican chicken, a soft roll and a can of cherry coke before doing the housework. House is a pigsty! Dirty plates and food everywhere! Me, I'm a pure hussy me
Im glad your SPD has not made a return appearance and it sounds like you had a tough pregnancy last time round!!!!!!
The pampers gave your DS rashes? Poor boy! I hope that by boy doesnt get rashes after buying 6 boxes!!!!!!
Oh gosh, dont remind me of hyperemesis, lol, I was on and off work with that as well for about 5-6 weeks, and when I was at work, I was there for only have a day or turning up an hour or two late!
Then the SPD kicked in at 16 weeks but it wasnt so bad until I got to about 20 weeks! I have now been off for three weeks, next week I have to see the GP again who has already told me that if I cant keep up my scan/midwife and GP appointments, how do I think I am going to cope going to work part time for 20 hours let alone a 35 hour week?! lol
I guess she had a point so I will not be going back to work as adviced by her. I guess ill have to be signed off until im 36 weeks pregnant, take my 3 weeks holiday I have not taken as I am not allowed to carry it over and then start maternity leave at 39 weeks!
Im so bored already but what can I do? No duties I can do at home for work!Official SOS Club number 014 - Dry until 29.11.090 -

I dont have a personal midwife which I find soo ANNOYING! I have to see a different midwife all the time. Dont get me wrong, they are all nice but for my first baby, I wanted a personal experienceOfficial SOS Club number 014 - Dry until 29.11.090 -
Triggles, yeah that's what I'm really glad to be avoiding (sorry - not trying to rub it in!). So even if my assigned MW is away or unavailable, we'll still have the same student MW at every appt - apparently it's a new teaching program they're running, which I guess is why I've not heard of a student MW shadowing a full pregnancy before.
They're also really keen on home visits & home births. I'm quite hesistant on a home birth, but my next MW appt is at home! Quite surprised, as I thought that was a rural thing! Shows what I know! :P
searching - it sounds like you need to put your feet up and eat some ice cream! Walking into work from the train station at 1pm was soooooooo hot today!!top 2013 wins: iPad, £50 dental care, £50 sportswear, £50 Nectar GC, £300 B&Q GC; jewellery, Bumbo, 12xPringles, 2xDiesel EDT, £25 Morrisons, £50 Loch Fyne

Hi Rose - yet another September baby!
Well, Jillie, Harley and Squishy - we are all offically viable today :j:j
I'm relaxing on a swinging chair in the blistering heat with the big paddling pool filling up so I can jump in and float about on my big belly!!!
Can't be bothered to catch up - I got to page 250 and gave up, it's so hot!!
Had confirmation from work today that I'll only get SMP. B00gers tried to say they were offering me 6 weeks at 90% then would reduce to SMP! I told them that the 6 weeks at 90% was SMP therefore they offer nothing so I suggested they update their policy to reflect it.
I call my baby 'Bean' or refer to him as 'him'!
How is everyone?!!!A very busy Yummy Mummy to a 1 year old gorgeous boy :smileyhea
Where does the time go? :think:0
