Morning all - i see most peeps have gone straight out into the sun  I'm not a massive fan of sun and I'm getting a bit grumpy now, the massive sneezes have started, feeling the hand swelling start and I feel sweatier than I used to after a work out! oh well too much to do!
Got to take Chris for a hair cut I can't stand him having a sweaty sun cream filled greasy fringe and he needs to look smart for his first big bro/lil bro photos!
Then take some drawers back to argos, i foolishly didn't actually check the measurements and they way too small and it says silver on the box but they're white

    Hi all..

I could scream! My mum has come out in a rash all over.. NHS Direct and a local Lloyds Pharmacist both think it could be chicken pox! She's on her way in to the GP unit at the hospital now to get tested to find out what it is. She's been to see Rhys every day plus hugged me and OH. I've had chicken pox but OH isn't sure.

    ARGH ARGH ARGH!! :(

Oh sweetie - even if it is CP it doesn't necessarily mean that it has been passed around.

Like you needed anything else to worry about.

Gorgeous sunny day - really must summon up some energy to get out and enjoy the sunshine! Traumatised by consigning all my size 12 trousers to the top cupboard for sometime as none of them are doing up at the waist unless I cut myself in two so on ebay buying stretchy waist thingummys earlier! Bump seems to be a bit bigger this morning since I last really looked which is lovely as that hopefully means my little LO is growing.

Have a lovely day everyone and especially thinking of you elle in Grimsby (my roots!) and hope you have a good day with Rhys [edit - hope the rash isn't chicken pox and everything ok there]

Oh Elle - hope it isn't chicken pox and that it's some type of heat rash or something non-contagious.

In other Rhys news, he's more active this morning and there seem to be a few problems with his ventilator and the consultant is half-expecting him to manage to force the tube out sometime today. They've got the CPAP machine on standby; they'll put him on that if he manages to move the tube later. It's the one they go on once they come off a ventilator, where they're breathing for themselves but have the machine there (and face mask on) for assistance if they need it. The same thing he was on between his two stints on the ventilator.. a good thing :)

Elle - if it were 'the pox' I'm sure you'd be fine and I'm sure they could give OH those jabs that stop him getting it, considering your circumstances.
Love n not infectious hugs to all of you :D xx

Oh, just heard from Mum.. it's NOT chicken pox *sigh* :D

It's a reaction to the penacillin (sp?) she's on for a cough. She's been on it for about two weeks already so why the reaction has just come up, they don't know, but it's definitely a reaction rash and not contagious. She's been told to take anti-histamines for a few days and stay away from us (not quite sure why!).

I was hoping she'd be able to take me out to B&Q this aft so I can choose tiles for the bathroom so Dad can get on. Didn't want to go with OH as we didn't both want to leave the hospital.. Grr.. wish I could drive! :(
