Eeeek.. Remember that feeling when you posted on the Preg Thread for the first time and how scary it was? I've just posted on the Parent Thread for the first time.. :o Wanted to say thank you to everyone for all the good wishes they've been sending. Not really ready to join them yet.. will continue to lurk, methinks.. :(

Is no-one up yet? I had to get up as OH is on nights and was worried I would wake him with my tossing and turning. Might pop out to have a wander round the charity shops, which is one of my favourite pastimes on a Saturday if I'm off.

Sami- I am so jealous of your BBQ! Would love to go and sit in a garden and have lots of yummy things cooked for me today.

Think I will dry and straighten my hair now before it gets too hot. Luckily our house generally stays lovely and cool so I can always hide inside when it's really warm.

Morning all. Can't believe it's after 10am and no-one has posted! If you are all like me you probably had such an uncomfortable night due to heat and pregnancy and can't be bothered to do anything!

Waiting on guys coming to fit new flooring in kitchen and bathrooms today so that's why I am up. Anyone doing anything nice since it's a lovely day?

Not had time to post for a few days, so welcome to the newbies, and hello to Elle. It's nice to see you back on here. x

    P.S. Enjoy the football Glam!!

ETA - Morning GISI, you beat me to it!!

I looked in earlier on but had nothing to say.

We're off back to Ikea to buy a children's toy kitchen. Apparently it will also be furniture for the baby's room and it is extremely awesome. Other than that, the list (for today and tomorrow):

    Finish wrangling pantry
    Clear out yarn
    More clearing from living room
List whatever electronic stuff can be got rid of and pass the list onto the couple of people who are interested in taking it. We have a veritable computer graveyard of broken equipment and are getting rid of it. Also I'm hoping that there will be space on the bottom shelves of the pantry to store some stuff from the living room.
We're getting there. 61 days till EDD. 15 days till I will accept an escape attempt.

I've already got a load of laundry in, and when we get back I'll put the bedlinen in too. And a guy came to buy our spare DVD player, which is awesome. We also need a supermarket trip, since the bread was mouldy this morning and when I do not have toast I get cranky.

Our house stays nice and cool as well, thank goodness! We'll probably take DS swimming tomorrow, but mostly stay indoors today until later in the afternoon when DH gets the garden mowed. If I took DS out there now, I'm pretty sure I'd lose him in the jungle grass!!! LOL

Forgot to say the heat in the hospital isn't helped by what I would call the "anti suicide" windows! We're on the second floor and the windows open all of about three inches, tilting inwards from the top. The window sill and surrounding walls are at least five inches deep so opening the window achieves absolutely nothing!

I was put in a room with anti suicide windows. The didn't open at all. It was a really hot room, with no cooling availble.

Don't think I could have made a sucessful attempt anyway, it was only the first floor!
