Thanks skinty - I'm going to use some canestan tonight that I've been prescribed but I may go back and ask for a top up to use closer to the time.

You say you're going to use at 38 weeks, can I ask why? Does the treatment last for a couple of weeks or is there another reason?

    In case it comes early.

I guess if it's late then I'll do it again but I thought it might take a few weeks for it to come back after a treatment.

It's mostly guesswork cos my MW is rubbish - I got my infor from a Tommy's one at the baby show.

harley, loads of medicines say not for use during pregnancy, but that is mainly so you do not self medicate the wrong thing !!! You would not have been given it if there was going to be a problem.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MRS MOC _party_ :bdaycake:_party_

Haven't caught up yet so apologies if i have missed anything. Midwife called this am and decided to do the booking forms - i did ask if she could leave it a bit untill the spotting stops but no - so it was answering questions about home birth vs hospital birth and was i going to breastfeed - all a bit upsetting tbh but i suppose she has got to do her job. She actually asked me if i still felt pregnant:mad: if i knew that i wouldnt have needed a scan to confirm the baby is still alive and kicking.

The EPU did warn me that there would be a bit of spotting after the internal scan because she really was rooting around in there which i have now got- sorry if tmi:rotfl:

Anyway i feel a bit brighter this evening - have been feeling periody a bit hungover and like i have got the flu since monday lunchtime. Its probably the bedrest and food and drinks braught by oh making me feel better:D- who has realised he might have stressed me out a bit by being a prat the last few weeks:rolleyes:

I have got a sneaky feeling that in the absence of any infections - bar thrush- that i have what they call breakthrough bleeding coz i had bleeding around 4 weeks and 8 weeks - the time my periods were due and no cramps on second bleed at all. And the heavy bleeding stopped so fast it was as if my body had said "omg i shouldnt be bleeding i am pregnant". Anyway might be of comfort or use to someone in early pregnancy that you can lose quite a bit and still see a heartbeat. Heres hoping it continues to stick now we have seen the heartbeat.

If anyone has got a link on BP i would be grateful mine was 140/80 this morning and i was wondering if that was a bit high:o

Triggles, I think that is why my MW pointed out that only one baby had been recorded as having a problem. She did seem very easy going about all of them and at no point said 'Don't take x or y'.

I tend to have what I want when I want it as long as its not extreme. If I'm not pg I bet I only take tablets 5-6 times a year - but I do use the Forehead stick if needs be so will stick with that.

Conflicting info everywhere you look lol xxx

I'm a genius. I put Nick Cave on in the background, and my poor OH decided that he's really, really not a Nick Cave fan and has gone off to make a big concentrated effort on both the jobs on his list for today while I listen.

If I'd known it was that easy I'd have been doing it all along!

tinkerbelluk - I have had the same issue with thrush almost all the way through the pregnancy (thanks to a few courses of Amoxicillin). I asked the GP today at my appointment whether or not it would cause any problems with the baby or the birth, and she said no - in the sense that it won't cause any literal problems with the baby or the birth itself. That was my main concern.

I'll have to see if I still fit into my nice evening dress if not. I'll be online this afternoon looking for something with next day delivery!

Can you not wear your nice new Isabella Oliver dress to this one? It looked to me like it could be dressed up enough for cocktail or down enough for day formal when I saw it on the website? It would seem a shame not to get maximum wear out of it, given it was a bit more than you planned on spending in the first place.

Congratulations Krystal!!!! :j:j:j She is lovely! And your DH looks like my DH's doppledanger!

Lil lady will simply be Eve, unless she is really bad when her full name will be used :D

Brednall, if your thrombophillia (thrombo) bloods (sticky blood) came back fine then you shouldn't need to take asprin. It really is only on your doctors advice that you should take it. I'm on 75mg per day due to history of high BP and pre ecclampsia.

Angela Rose is lovely and so is her cardi!! I wanna sniff her head for new baby smell!

I'm going to post DS2's birth story later on, it's therapy as I've been getting some flashbacks at night and it's kinda weighing on my mind.

    Day care update....

Thrombo came back clear! Sickeninly healthy in fact. BP was very high before I went up and I had a headache. Headache still there but BP down to 142/88 and then 151/84 which is good. Tr keytones, +protein and ++leucocytes (think I have a UTI as I'm very sore in that area). Samples sent away for analysis (protienurea and to find an infection). Lil ladies heart beat is fine. She has been quiet yesterday and today an they offered to scan me! Said no as it was almost 5pm at this point and I would have then spent over an hour in traffic. Had a chat about me being worried. If I follow my trend, I will have her in 4 weeks (35 then 33 so 31). But there isn't anything anyone can do, I have been told that if I am worried just to come up, even if it is just for a BP check, urine dip and a chat, if it makes me feel better I can go up every day.

Back in 2 weeks for scan and day care, see my mw next week.

Ohhh.. and HypnoNu, sorry, I just jumped ahead of you! I have another new date! My consultant got fed up with the 3 that are all beong used so has went by my LMP date and femur legnth so my new date is 26th August making me... 27 weeks today!!!!! :j

I fear that my little girl may end up with a ginger afro. My hair is red (not quite ginger) and her daddy is African with a potential afro if he ever let it grow.

    Beautiful baby, Angela.

Both mine are redheads and were beautiful as babies (IMHO anyway!). I thought they were golden boys and girls! I don't think you need to worry though Mookie, as you need to have the red gene on both mum and dad's side to have a red headed baby. I'm red myself, and my husband's grandfather was red, so he must carry that gene too.

Lots of people hate having redhaired babies and I've lost count of the number of women, who've looked at mine and said "Oh, I would have cried if mine had come out ginger!" (how rude is that!) but I was really proud of both of mine and thought they looked fab, and won't really know what to do if this one comes out another colour!
