Been quiet on here today, everyone been out enjoying the sunshine?!
My Mum just rang, the plan if I go into labour is that she would come over in 1 car and her husband in another and he will either wait here (if it's not worth getting Aimee out of bed) or take Aimee back to theirs (where she has her own bedroom!) and my Mum would take care of us... But he wants to have a couple of beers tonight and doesn't want to drive... So they've decided to come and fetch Aimee to stay at theirs the night just in case I go into labour... I've had a couple of really strong contraptions... But nothing regular so could just be painful braxton hicks (even though they're supposed to be painless) Wonder if tonight will be the night... <sigh>A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...My Fathers Daughter wrote: »Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

aww hun !!!
She doesnt like the fact that I am not a SAHM and she thinks everyone should be as clean and tidy as she is, but she does like to help me out, so not all good all of the time, but I cant really complain.
You make sure you get some rest after she goes !!!The two best things I have done with my life

Hope so Krystal. X
My MIL hates the fact that I might become a SAHM, as I have children from a previous relationship she says that I should work to keep them and not expect any help from OH. As for my house, 5 bed, 2 bath, downstairs loo etc, so fairly large and it's bl00dy spotless, never good enough!Too many children, too little time!!!0 -
tara, I know it annoys you a bit, but be honest ..... do you really give a flying f**k what she thinks????
The way I look at it is if they cant find fault in you, they pick on the things around you instead!! So long as you OH and kids are happy, that is all that mattersThe two best things I have done with my life

Thanks MM, I know I shouldn't but it's part of my personality I'm afraid. Years of counselling have done little to get my self esteem up. Get very cross with myself but can't help it. After going over and over it I think the years of being put down by my mother have done a lot of damage. Trouble is I made it worse by spending the 1st year being with OH bending over backwards to be exactly what she wanted, really stoopid!Too many children, too little time!!!0

my MIL waits on me hand and foot whether pg or not! Now, she is worse than ever!!
I do get a bit annoyed like on New Years Day when I was cooking and did a bl00dy great job but every 5 mins 'have u done this, have u done that'
She steams her veg to death (45mins!!!!) whereas I do mine nice and crispy and fresh - I dished up and insisted on taking the plates out because I know she would have tried to take the praise for it.
have I ever mentioned that OH, FIL and BIL all prefer my roast dinners?A very busy Yummy Mummy to a 1 year old gorgeous boy :smileyhea
Where does the time go? :think:0 -
Helen - What Squishy said is correct. 10% off for bank holiday weekend, 5% Quidco, and a 10% code. OH was going on about ordering stuff this weekend, so not sure where he saw the code, but assume it was the same was as Squishy linked to. I am worried about rushing into a decision, but don't want to miss out on a good discount.
My MIL is pretty decent. She is very conscious of not becoming too overbearing and involved in stuff. And she is giving us her Tesco clubcard vouchers to use on baby stuff so you get double the amount! We are going to buy our car seat and ISOFIX base so she is really buying these for us! :T
It's my own mum I have problems with. We spoke last night for the first time in 6 weeks. It was completely her own doing as I had enough of her calling me stupid etc every time I make a decision that she disagrees with, but now I am feeling guilty that we have bought most of our stuff and she hasn't been involved. This happened with our wedding too though!! She had no involvement in that due to her inability to give her opinion but know when to stop!!! She's not terrible, but we really clash and it just came to a head recently. My dad says I have the Mother from hell, not the MIL. And yes, they are still married and live together!!!|! :rolleyes:0
