Krystal, (and anyone else who might be able to offer advice!)

Do you have any advice/info on breastfeeding after a reduction? I am determined to give it more than a fair shot. (TMI: i have no reason to believe my nipple was actually cut off as is the case sometimes)

I see Krystal has already replied! I had 2 reductions one in Sept 2006 and 1 in Oct 207. Will explain my findings in a min .....
Wonder when Glam will get back from the midwife...

Well, poor girl in front of me was having problems and ended up being referred straight to hospital. I could hear it all through the door - was awful poor kid must have only been about 17 and was on her own.
I had asked for my GP medical notes to be ready - guess what they weren't?
Ended up there for ages onyl to find there is no information about my exact operation so need to phone the hospital now!

I need to find out exactly what was removed - if milk ducts were then I can't B/F. Need to phone 2 hospitals now!

Glam it's normal for them to give you the sample back so you can wash the thingy out and re-use it... I've had so many of mine sent off for futher testing though that apart from the first few most haven't been given back lol

    urgh gross! that is minging.
We always dispose of them after one use - they aren't meant to be re-used! They are supposed to be sterile not washed out.

Hmmm suppose I better start tidying the living room if the midwife is likely to be coming round for my sweep tomorrow... It looks like a tip! All the stuff my parents sent over is everywhere and it's taken over my livingroom! I've decided to be an ungrateful brat and freecycle the toys from my dad... they're not the kinda toys we'd have bought and I think the budget can stretch to some new ones to be honest...
and then I'll tackle this washing mountain of clothes from my mum... never ending washing pile lol And it'll only get worse when madam arrives I bet :D

Oh and bump still really really sore and baby won't stop squidging round and it hurts :(

Shame about the dress Glam, OH's can say the most inappropriate things can't they . The other day my OH was looking at my bump saying how, looking straight on you would hardly know you were pregnant apart from the fact you hips are MUCH wider now. He realised immediately what he had said and start backtracking: they aren't that much bigger etc, but the damage was done and I still haven't forgiven him fully.

Funnily enough my OH said exactly the same to me - 'From the front your hips are loads wider' - wow thanks for that darling!

He saw the dress and said 'I don't like it' - I got a bit huffy althou I think I kinda knew that it wasn't the best. He then said 'I don't like the colour, it's too dark. I don't like the lnegth, it's too long, I don't like the style it's a bit old fashioned for you'

OK OK I get the bl00dy picture - he has now said he will take me shopping one night next week and see what we can find :D

    molly

It sounds like the kind of thing my hubby would say, a good example being when we'd not long first moved in together, we'd been to Tesco and i was putting the shopping away and he came into the kitchen and said "you were the best looking girl in Tesco's today"...i looked up, was really pleased and flattered till he finished it with ".....there was some right mingers in there!"

    I nearly thumped him.....
