Morning girls, it's the 3rd night in a row i have the most ridiculous pregnancy insomnia, i've always been a bit of a rubbish sleeper so when anything vaguely stressful is going on I don't get any sleep but now I'm just uncomfortable, my hips really hurt at night and I'm constantly shifting and the last few days i need to pee at least 3 times a night as well. Am seeing the Physio again today so will ask her if there's anything i can do about the pain at night....but until then I've given up trying to sleep because there's just no point and i'm just keeping OH up all night as well.....I'm only 26 weeks though....this can only get worse...:(

Is there anyone else out there in internet land to keep me company?

oh and those baby heels are just minging....thankfully i'm having a boy so no-one will buy him any, not even for a laugh...well unless they're encouraging my boy to be a tranny??

    Morning ladies!

It's a public holiday in sunny Bavaria, and I'm utterly delighted (hmph) to report that I've been awake for an hour already. Everything's closed today, so the plan is as follows:

finish the bug war and disinfect the pantry (him)
more clearing out in the living room (him)
spend entire day on hold to the US (me)
    tidy bedroom (me)
move toys into new toybox (me)
make decision about high chair (joint)
let person who has high chair know (me)

The big thing will be decided tomorrow. Germany's weird about name changes on marriage: you can both take either of your names or both keep your own, but nobody can take both. We've both taken both names, but neither of us made it legal yet and if we want our baby to be registered with both names we need to change at least one of our names before the birth.

The problem I'm having is that there's 10 weeks till I theoretically give birth, and the only way to name change here is by change of passport - but the office in Dusseldorf has a massive backlog and it may not be back in time. Also a problem: I need someone to countersign the form, and it needs to be someone in good standing who's known me for two years. No such person exists in Germany because I have not lived here long enough. My boss may do it, but even so it is difficult.

I could also fly to the UK for an appointment with the passport office and have a same-day service. Except I'm already 30 weeks and need a medical certificate to fly, and since I've been in the hospital a couple of times I'm probably not going to get one.

The problem Himself is having is that in US law name change is done automatically by the person conducting the marriage, and so they have no mechanism for the change. But the UK doesn't do it automatically, and so I'll be spending the day on the phone figuring it out to see which of us can get it done faster.

    Fun times.

Morning... Still not in labour I'm afraid :(
Bah humbug... More and more uncomfy though so you never know...

    TMI WARNING! :)

This morning when I woke up my foof feels like someone has either hit it or like when you have been horse riding and you and the horse don't sync up and you hit the saddle as the horse is coming up... Can't describe it better than that sorry :rotfl: The foof bone is SO sore!

Oh btw when I went to Tesco yesterday I got a quite nice top - it's like a summer vest but with diamonde poppers so should be ideal for BFing :D And only £4 :D

    Hi all,
I'm up too, although it's not all that early now. It's a public holiday in Belgium too, so DH has today off, and gets the bridge day tomorrow as well... he is fast asleep in bed, whereas I gave up ages ago! Pretty certain everything's going to be shut here today, but maybe tomorrow we can get a bit more of the baby shopping done..although I'm not holding my breath!

Little monkey has been squirming around a lot this morning...it's so painful, particularly when he decides to arrange himself in the lower part of my pelvis, which hasn't ever really recovered from the two escape attempts...I can't see where the space is for him to get any bigger, but I know that he is going too !

Hope that the labour vibes have worked overnight and that Rhys is getting better too.
