then we the people need to vote for who is decent. and we need to decide whats better - ones who take loads of expenses but in general have increased the quality of life in the country loads, or go back to millions out of work and living in a class system? (from what i remember)

buffy - i think its more general living expenses since their "normal" job is in their constituency, not in london.

i'd be surprised if any prosecutions are ever brought in this, indeed even shocked if there is a conviction.

although i would expect "the worst offenders" to pay back either the whole or a large proportion of the amount skinned off taxpayers legitimitly and "in error".

but we still voted these guys in and this stuff will have been going on for decades.

We did vote them in. But, what choice do we really have? Ok, we can refuse to vote, that's hardly pro-active.

Where do I get the choice of who actually runs this country. Because I can tell you I might choose bloke A from the Labour party because he's a decent and honest chap. Bloke B from the Tories, because I think he's got some great ideas and that fellow on the right over there because he's got crumpled trousers and we've clearly not had to buy him a trouser press.

lolol. proportional representation is on the way :) much more fair.

and your right, not voting is worse than voting for the least worst option.

you could always spoil your ballat paper - then its noted you did vote, but refused to select a candidate.

if this noise is still on after csi then im gona phone the fuzz.

ah but if everyone does that we end up with a bunch of folk who cant manage large scale and we dont get anywhere either :(

our currently political system isnt broke, just some people "play" it differently than others.

our issue is the journalists and their constant sensationalism for this sort of tripe.

when will they report on real pressing issues instead of just finding more and more excuses to ridicule people in office in this country.

A bunch of folks who can't manage large scale ? yes as the current lot are doing an absolute bang up job. real experts!

It is true the papers hype up the wrong stuff but when you have a public who are convinced the most important thing is whether or not Katie wosit is getting a divorce from tango boy its hardly surprising chemical spillages and famines get ignored. or the state of the NHs or the literacy rates in school.
    Nevertheless she persisted.

think what it'd be like if we were all in burma or venzueala
