I put a post on a thread that asked if anyone knew any good discount cards..............is that not allowed?

Of course it's allowed, but if someone ONLY mentions one site then you must admit it looks suspicious.

What does that mean?

If means people think you've been spamming here and other sites.

It would appear that many people's experiences don't match your own with regard to the quality of the establishments.

most of the "offer" pages have broken links to images that do not exist

I couldn't actually get to join anyway as I've tried it several times and get an SQL error. The website is very poor.

So now you have finally made it to your compute, can you answer my question about the minimum spend on your voucher. Was there one?

What is wrong with everyone on here that they will try anything to find a problem with a genuinly good offer????

Please can you tell me how I find out about the discounts in my area before committing money.

No there was not a minimum spend on the voucher otherwise it wouldn´t have been FREE with the membership would it? I dont know if the offer is the same as it was 3 months ago when i joined. I had no problems joining up. If you are trying to sign up and having difficulties then contact them and let them know.

This isn´t the ONLY site i have mentioned on the MSE thank you. It is that i have mentioned it in a previous post for discount cards and apparently that is considered abuse!

Well seems to me that you are genuine but have inadvertantly given the wrong impression.
I would suggest avoiding making factual statements unless you know they are true, for example the following about the gourmet card is completely false and makes it look like you have a motive to tell lies about them.

Also all of the restaurants listed are gormet restaurants (way out my price range even at 241) and the card costs £43.50!!!!!!!

Pizza Express, Beefeater and you average Indian are not Gourmet or expensive and the card is free currently.
By all means tell us what your friends think, but it should be clear that it's someone's opinion and not stated as a fact.
Unfortuantely there are a lot of spammers and people with motives posting up so MSEs are always suspicious, that's the nature of it.

I still would not trust a site that would give me any clues about the benefits before I get to pay and it is a very poorly constructed website.

You didn't just presume. You have stated more than once in this thread that their places near you are very expensive. You don't need to live in Northampton to know that most of the restaurants I have listed won't be highly priced.

To get the 3 month free trial you have to enter your credit card detail and cancel it after the 3 months otherwise you will be charged. I have just seen complaints on other forums that people try to cancel the card but can never get through to anyone so end up paying the full whack. Not good that you have to enter your credit card details for something that is free is it?!

We dont have most of the places you listed where i live so how would i know how much they cost???? If they are cheap places then it is hardly a gourmet card then is it?

Well yes, it was rather naive.
It's a bit like assuming airmiles flights are FREE when theres actually £80 worth of tax and charges.
I'm afraid you need to be a bit less naive when looking at deals otherwise you are going to get caught out. However this site will help you with that a great deal.
I haven't used my Gourmet card yet, but I believe there are a range of restaurants so it's not ALL cheap joints.
Yes it would be very naive to make assumptions out of one word.
A bit like "executive" homes. Companies always exaggerate.
You need to get a bit less naive and bit more wordly wise, but we are very good at finding catches here.

Yes you have to be logged in before you can access the offers.
Some people may not want to login to get this for free (that's your choice), but you can experience the deals before committing money.

I would not pay for this without seeing the deals either, but with the free card I can do that for 3 months (some people have bene lucky and got 15 months).
