From what i can see on the gourmet card you only get 241 on meals and you only get it once per restaurant.

There are some restaurants that do 25% off.
and so that allow you to use it more than once.
Also all of the restaurants listed are gormet restaurants (way out my price range even at 241) and the card costs £43.50!!!!!!!

    Wrong.
For example Pizza Express is not what I would consider "gourmet".
    Plenty of ordinary pubs also.
Gourmet card is free for 3 months.
With the 241 offer it is only good if there are 2 people or you are REALLY hungry!

If eating alone the 25% offers would be better.
What % does outtolunch offer in comparison?

Apologies if I'm on the wrong lines here, but as you've put out a lot of false information about another site then can you please answer the question as to whether you are connected to outtolunch club?

I am not connected to gourmet club but have a free card.

This is a list of restaurants that the gourmet club came up with when I searched Northampton town centre (NN1 1AA):

    Pizza Express
    Saffron
    Mirpur Tandoori
    Fort Kochi
    Bilash Tandoori
    Delhi Cottage
    Viva Goa
    Blue Moon
    Thai Nam Tip
    Indian Brasserie
    Bombay Palace
    Greens
    Taste of Spice
Also all of the restaurants listed are gormet restaurants (way out my price range even at 241)
    :rotfl:
Thanks to all who post constructively.

    hmmmm..............no response how interesting
Given the false information given and the lack of answers I have to be suspicious.

I don't know whether this is the actual voucher, but you might notice that this has £64.99 minimum spend and no mention of free postage.
There is also no indication of what the deals are.
I am suspicious and I would advise other people to be suspicious if there is no indication of the deals before you sign up.
I have no connection to the Gourmet club but you can go on to the site and search for restaurants and see the offers up front.
It just doesn't look professional to me.
I reckon this is someone promoting their own business.
Nothing wrong with doing that through the correct channels, but looks rather amateurish to me.

    :hello:
  • Gosh lisyloo, give a girl a chance! I dont live at my computer.

I have nothing to do with the Out to Lunch Club appart from being a member and taking full advantage of their discounts.

I dont know about the Gourmet card except that people who i know that have had one have said that it is very limited to where you can use it and its mainly pricey places. I dont know if the restaurants you listed are pricey or not (dont live in Northampton) but the few that it brought up that are in my area are really pricey whereas the ones on the Out to Lunch card i can use in tons of places near where i work and live and they are all nice and reasonably priced places.

just looked near me , the "fine Dining" on offer includes a Indian Takeaway and a Kebab house that both leaflet drop with offers anyway , oh and the local beefeater

most of the "offer" pages have broken links to images that do not exist

looks like the owners expertise lies in holiday and retirement home parks in Southern Spain and Ebooks rather than web site building

In Kent there are 280 results that come up, not just the 3 you mentioned.

All i wanted to do was tell people on MSE about a good discount card i had discovered. It cant be that bad as i have saved loads of money with it and so have alot of other people i know that are members and the restaurants i use it in say that they have had alot more trade due to offering discounts with the card and the free ad they get on the site. What is wrong with everyone on here that they will try anything to find a problem with a genuinly good offer????

If you´re not interested in it then your not interested in it, no need to start accusing people of ´abuse´ and having alteria motives. I thought this was supposed to be a friendly forum.
