OP, exactly how much extra time do you need??? When did they send the penalty notice to you and when does it need to be paid by??

I have a £60 speeding fine which is due to be paid next week, is it possible to request more time since I don't get paid for another two weeks or so?

    Thanks...

I should imagine they have had it three weeks or so.

Xodiac's other thread may give you a clue about how much extra time he/she needs.

Yes, but the OP isn't disagreeing with the fine, or saying they won't pay it, just asking if they can have a little bit of extra time to get the money together???

But it's part of the punishment to expect the offender to pay within 28 days, or whatever it is. If they're allowed extra time to pay, to make it easy, it's hardly an effective deterrent...is it? Use the overdraft, credit card, borrow it from friends/family or sell something. But pay it on time.
If you will the end, you must will the means.
