Virgin Cable Broadband vs Orange Broadband

Hello,
I currently have Virgin Cable BB which works nicely at about 9MB all the time and costs me £15 a month. From July this is going up to £25.
I have just been offered free BB from Orange as I have just taken a contract phone with them. This would be their 'Home Starter' package.
I'd appreciate any comments on whether I should switch.
Perhaps I could run them in tandem to see how Orange get on before my Virgin contract ends in July. Is this possible?
Saving £25 a month is very tempting but I have had some awful BB experiences in the past and am nervous about ditching a good, if expensive, service for a leap into the Orange unknown.
Thanks for any comments and advice.

Orange BB should be called Lemon, keep well clear, stick with your fast cable.0

If your telephone service is currently with Virgin Cable, you may find you have to look at installing a BT phone line before you can even consider Orange broadband.
Generally speaking, Orange broadband service is not very good, and your distance from the BT telephone exchange will also determine what speed you can get.
Comparison of some ADSL providers.
