Virgin Cable Broadband vs Orange Broadband

Hello,

I currently have Virgin Cable BB which works nicely at about 9MB all the time and costs me £15 a month. From July this is going up to £25.

I have just been offered free BB from Orange as I have just taken a contract phone with them. This would be their 'Home Starter' package.

I'd appreciate any comments on whether I should switch.

Perhaps I could run them in tandem to see how Orange get on before my Virgin contract ends in July. Is this possible?

Saving £25 a month is very tempting but I have had some awful BB experiences in the past and am nervous about ditching a good, if expensive, service for a leap into the Orange unknown.

Thanks for any comments and advice.
