    No real update folks!

Spending money like its going out of fashion! Lost all my willpower! Have given up! :p

Got this week off work which isn't good as will probably get bored and spend money!

Will do some soul searching this week to re-discover the MSE bug!

    That's not like you!

How can we help you to rediscover the MSE bug I wonder?! Swift kick up the you-know-where?! Gently, of course! ;)

What's different now thats making you spend, aside from being off work?

Get your act together! ;):)

Hey kath! Long time no see! Hows things? :D

I've just lost all motivation. The thought of another 3 1/2 years of this is doing my nugget in! :o

Hey kath! Long time no see! Hows things? :D

I've just lost all motivation. The though of another 3 1/2 years of this is doing my nugget in! :o

Heya! Things are extremely, ridiculously, stupidly busy for me at the mo, hence not being on here much lately :o I'm working on my major project to finish my degree, getting it ready for exhibition and trying to co-ordinate publishing a book of 30 people's work at the same time, phew! But I'm alright thanks :D

    Now... back to you! ;)

I can only imagine a little of what it feels like to have that time ahead of you. You accuse me of not being a dfw ;) but I've got quite a few years ahead of me of not earning much while I try to start a reasonable career as an artist = living on a small budget, so I know how it feels.

I think its natural to have times where you lack motivation and feel like packing it all in. But you're on here telling us about it, not abandoning MSE altogether, which is a positive sign! There's no quick fix I guess but perhaps there's something you could do to help focus on your goals, rather than the long and boring bit to get there? What I mean is, once you're debt free, what would you like to use the 'extra' money for? House, car, a whole year's fishing? ;) :rotfl:

Anything, big or small, might help you to focus on why you're doing all this. If it was me I'd browse the property pages or car ads, always makes me more determined!! Just be sure not to buy anything  Since, as you say, spending money is rapidly going out of fashion  ;) :rotfl:

    It'll pass soon enough I hope :D

I think you need a good pat on the back to get your debt below £29,000! Well done.

With regards to your Dad/Bro birthday, what I do is put a little aside each month for bdays then when I forget I've nothing to worry about cos money is waiting. Anything left over can then go onto extra payment. Just a thought!
    October make £10/day currently £11.02
