SS's Debt Diary!

Knew you'd be under £25k by the end of October. Well done ss, beginning of October or the end of October, so what, it's still October.
Brilliant stuff.
How about £500 off the debt £100 towards the tackle (ahem, if I may be so bold) and promise yourself that the next spare £150 whether from ebay, matched betting or overtime goes towards the aforementioned. That way you might feel energized to make that £150. Or you could rejig the split if that's more likely to get you moving again, £450 debt/ £150 towards tackle/ £100 to make or any other permutation.CCs @0% £24k Dec 05 £19,621.41 Au £13400 S 12600 Oct £11,981 £9481 £7500 Nov £7250 D £7100 Jan 6950 F £5800 Mar£5400 May £4830 June £4660 July £4460 Aug £3200, S £900, £0 18/9/07 DFW Nerd 0420 -

As lurker/sometime-poster was also reading your other thread (a year on MSE) and how you started out and just wanted to say well done!
Also is that 9ish grand you have paid off ina year?????!!! It's making me think of that thing - that when you're debt free you could really save up a lot of money still living in the MSE way!
But anyway, I think you deserve a treat!
Alex x
btw, no idea what these car mats are, maybe should come on MSE more often!!!!!
Thank you very much Alex!
Well 9k off my debt but it was nearer £10,500 I paid off but for bloody interest!
I do deserve a treat don't I?
Hopefully we'll see you posting more and lurking less!0 -

Thanks V!
The thing is I don't need the fishing gear but it would be nice to have it.
I'm not gonna do anything for a fortnight then see how I feel (I won't want it then). I'm thinking I probably won't get it but will keep maybe £100 for myself for bits and bobs!

Its much easier on the conscience (sp?) when you've got your head in the sand... except I found somewhere in the background it bothered me, subconsciously.
Just shows that you've made a real change... not something temporary! It must be difficult though - when you've got into the mindset of not spending, to get used to the idea of the odd small treat.
Not a problem i've encountered yet due to lack of money  but I've got a job interview on Monday so here's hoping! :jDon't stress, relax, let life roll off your backs.
