Couple of mentions above about condensed soup - not sure if it's the case everywhere but noticed on Friday that my local Co-op (used to be Somerfield) had stacks & stacks of these in the reduced section - not dented on close to BBE & no space for them in normal soup area any longer so I guess they are removing them from standard sales line - worth looking out for in other Co-op's? 33p each at mine.

    Mushy Pea Curry (makes loads)

3 x tins of mushy peas ( I use Aldi or Basic Range) about 18p a tin
1 x tin of beans (aldi or basic range) about 30p a tin
    1 onion 10p
    curry powder store cupboard
    mushrooms (optional) 40p ( don't use a whole punnet)
water to get to consistency you like free

Serve with HM oven chips, its just like chippy curry and cheap. 70p a bag (aldi)

If you use mushrooms works out about £2.15 for a huge pan.

When i see menus for meals in the likes of the Asda or Morrisons magazine they often say it works out at 'so much' a serving, is it just me, i often think the figures they come out with are more than i pay.
