Stardrops - a yellow liquid in a bottle - kind of detergent - not sure quite what exactly. An old brand - still available.

Hubby says there's a Stardrops song apparently!! LOL

Never heard of stardrops but will look out for it!

    I buy for laundry

Bio Powder (shops own for whites/pastals and economy for darks)

Household soap (co-op) for stain pre-treating

    Bleach

    I buy for house cleaning

    Bleach

    Washing up liquid

    Orange Glo wood polish

Spread and shine liquid floor wax (kleeneze)

    Glass cleaner

I find hot water, washing up liquid and bleach solution cleans my kitchen, baths and hard floors a treat.

The orange glo is far easier to use than lavendar wax and puts a much better shine on wood than spray polish.

Kleeneze Spread and shine is the easiest floor shiner and sealer I have ever used (it doesn't need buffing off) and 500ml lasts about 6 months using once a fortnight.

I buy glass cleaner for small spot cleaning jobs like Mrs MATH's glass topped vanity but for major window cleaning etc I use hotwater, washing up liquid and a vinegar final wipe.

That orange glo stuff is quite nice, I won a supply of it 2 years ago - it was supposed to be 6 months worth :)

I use Ecover multi surface cleaner, cream cleaner, toilet cleaner & fabric conditioner. Clearspring washing up liquid & laundry liquid. Vinegar for mirrors, windows & taps. Orange glo wood cleaner for polishing, it smells lovely.
  • I bought a couple of plant spray bottles
a bottle of stardrops and a bottle of zoflora. I

I fill the sprayer with water, add a few drops of stardrops and a cap of zoflora.

I use it for all my kitchen surfaces, floor included. Doors, mirrors and windows too.

I wipe down with a damp cloth of the solution and buff off with the microfibre cloth. I know microfibre are not cheap but they pay for themselves in weeks.

The zoflora scents so no air freshner needed. It disinfects so no other required. The microfibre does glass so no window spray.

Stardrops is a fantastic old fashioned alrounder. You will find it at a more traditional shop. My Tesco have discontinued it. You can wash clothes in it if required. It has no scent and you need very little. I use it for everywhere even the car. I have used it for 18 years and have no plans to buy anything branded.

I _have_ to OS as I am allergic to chemicals in cleaners, propellent in spray cans (CFC one was fine the non CFC one makes me stoned and gives me the 'flu for 4 days). Therefore use ECOVER everything or bicarb, vinegar, microfiber cloths etc.
That reminds me I _must_ spring clean the house this weekend BEFORE I go to hospital.
