Well, after reading your post, I just double checked my LegoLand hot dog bill & it came to nigh on twenty quid, so there must have been some young uns in my party ...& yes, they're lego mad, but minitown aside, the whole place is more like a poor mans Thorpe Park, Chessington etc rather than anything to do with Lego....at least those other places know how to run a theme park.
the warning bells should have rung in the traffic jam leading up to the car parks...a couple of woeful, jade & faded miniscule (& made out of 'pretend' Lego!) lego models ....& this over a distance of about 1 mile from the gates to the car park. Anywhere else would have had massive showpieces on the lead up to the main park ...it's as if they begrudgingly bought a couple of Lego boxes from Argos & got some YTS to 'knock something up'during his week of work experience.

4 of us went on Saturday with Tesco vouchers for Annual Passes for the 2 adults and LastMinute £10 Annual Passes for the 2 kids. We probably spent around an hour queuing for the tickets in total (and this included the queue for the photos for the annual tickets once inside Legoland).
The place was packed, but the weather was great and the kids had a wonderful time. We only went on rides with short queues since we all knew we could do the other rides another time.
We took a picnic with us and only ate in the restaurant as we were leaving.
Yes - its expensive if you are just there for the day and especially if you don't bring any of your own food with you. And the rides aren't huge and thrilling.
But if you have little kids then I think its great. I only spent £20 on tickets to get all 4 of us in for the day and I'm delighted!0 -
Thank you Hank the Spank for the pdf voucher, we were mad enough to brave the queue's when the schools were shut for polling, and your voucher was the cheapest entry for 2 adults and 3 children at £86.50.:beer:0
