Legoland kids annual pass £10 until 31 May

We're going tomorrow using the £10 Lastminute kids vouchers & Tesco clubcard token's for Adult Annual Passes. Silly question time....... where should we queue?
* The Tesco tokens say the ticket booths
* The lastminute voucher says the box office
* Various forums say guest services
We're planning on getting there early, but don't want to queue up in the wrong place only to be told sorry, you're in the wrong queue! If we can do both in the same queue even better!
Any info would be appreciated!0 -
When we went the chap at the ticket booth, said he didn't deal with last minute vouchers and directed us to Guest services inside the gates. We went there and they changed the email voucher to paper tickets, we used these to get through the turnstiles, then to the right is the annual pass office (just down from Guest services, but you have to go through turnstiles to get there) go in there to get annual passes. I did not use Tesco vouchers. I would get one of you to go to ticket booth and the other to go to Guest services (only a few yards away) in case booth does Tesco vouchers. Have a nice time, as it is raining the park should be emptysih, so f you just warap up well, you should get a lot done with hardly any queues.0

Thanks susancs - at least that's a definitive on the lastminute vouchers! Was thinking of double queing....... unless anybody knows about the Tesco tokens in the next 30 minutes........0 -
i'm off tomorrow so thanks susancs at least i know where to go
what do you reckon my chances are of using the £10 paid for a childs pass against an oap's pass? or do you think i'm gonna have count the £10 as lost and pay full price for the oap annual pass?It only seems kinky the first time.. :A0 -

What a fantastic day! We got there about 9:20 and the booths were already open so the queues were only a few minutes long. Took the lastminute.com voucher to Guest Services (past ticket booths, on the right) whilst my wife took the Tesco tokens to the ticket booths. In both cases received barcoded tickets to get us through the turnstiles, and then into the Annual Pass office (just on the right) to complete an Annual Pass form for the family and exchange the barcoded tickets for our Annual Passes!
By this time it was around 9:40 and to our surprise the park was open (everywhere I had read said they don't let you in until 10, but we weren't complaining).
Straight down to Viking River Splash (pretty much straight on the ride), then The Dragon where there were no queues so they let us stay on twice, and then a couple of minutes queue for Pirate Falls. After a few smaller rides for our youngest (being 99cm he was 1cm from being allowed on some of the rides). By the time we got to Laser Raiders it was about 10:30 and there was a 90 minute queue already (so didn't hang around for that).
I don't know if the weather put people off (it was raining first thing this morning but had stopped by the time we got there and ended up being a sunny afternoon), but it was a lot quieter than the only other time we had been (last Nov for the fireworks).
Only other thing to add is if you're planning on eating tea there (with your 20% discount with your Annual Pass it's not too expensive) it looks like the restauarants in the main part of the park close at 5pm (as we found when we tried at 5:10!). Pit Stop Cafe up at the entrance was still open though at 5:50.
Hope some of this helps someone!
So thanks OP!0 -
We were at Legoland yesterday...I can only assume all those that think it's a great day out have more money than sense.
Even with vouchers, a family of four are going to pay nigh on eighty quid.
Once you're in, the queues are ludicruous (I mean totally stupid) - realistically you'll be lucky to do more than two big rides....who wants to queue for 60 minutes for a ride lasting 90 seconds (is that how dull/empty our lives are now, that that seems like a good use of time?) .....& you'll still have to queue for 30-40 minutes even at the piddley little rides. (remember £80 to get in about 6-7 rides, most of which the lesser ones can be had at your travelling fair for £2 a go!)
A hot dog for four quid anyone? (total cost to them about 20p)
Or how about a styrofoam sword for £8 (total cost to them about 10p)
But the real kicker is that darned QBOT system...Legoland tout it as being fair - rubbish - it's simply a way of squeezing more out of wealthier folks at the expense of those who aren't so flush. The theory behind it is you pay a tenner extra per person, to book a 'slot' on the big rides. But all I saw were people with QBOTs turing up will-nilly at the small rides too, flashing their QBOT to be allowed straight on which *really* irks when you've calculated mentally that it'll take roughly 3 turns before you get on with your own kids, only to have the QBOT holders nonchalantly turn up, flash their QBOT & be allowed stright on in fronty of you!
The whole place had a feel of "fleece 'em while you can" vibe about it. Lots of the miniatures in minitown, were covered in spiders webs (shows how much maintenance there is there eh?). Not enough loos (eg at the gate, there's a tiny loo block - what's the last thing people want to do as they leave the park faced with a long journey home? Yep, use the loo - at the same time...closing time! (what are Legoland doing with all this outrageous profit? Certainly not ploughing it back into the business).
Seriously...if you think Legoland is brilliant, you need to get a grip of what brilliant means.
So avoid legoland at all costs, unless you're extremely well off & don't mind shelling out the extra for a QBOT Therefore for a family of four, with discount vouchers, you're looking at about £120 in total....plus the cost of you hotdogs....so factor in another £300!
And as for the Legoland owners...well, they need lining up against the wall.
If anyone is still deranged enough to want to pursue going to Legoland, then don't mess about with those pesky lastminute/Tesco deals, just print off this voucher....
http://www.raring2go.co.uk/uploads/nationals/legoland-spring-09.pdf (valid until 20 July) - it'll be the worst £80 you'll ever spend.0 -
For the flip side of the coin, we were at Legoland on Saturday (and were meant to be there yesterday too but I broke my ankle!) and had a fantastic day. We had managed to get the annual passes for the 4 kids for £40 and a 2 for 1 voucher for me and daddy. Once we were in, I upgraded the 'paid for' ticket to a fullannual adult pass for £35 and we have cashed in £18 of clubcard vouchers too - so total for 4 kids annual passes and 2 adults is £129. Full price for the day for us 6 would have been somewhere around £160.
We only queued for the new Pharoah ride - which was rubbish - but the rest was a max of half an hour - with the best queues being on the viking boat water ride - it moved so fast that we went on that 3 times.
We didnt notice lack of toilets and thought that there was loads to do and see- we took plenty of food and used a locker to keep it in. I agree with the Q-Bot system - it is frustrating and we could never pay that much extra.
It wont suit everyone - but then again - what does???0 -
So in summary, you paid £120 in total @£20 a head to queue up a good few times for up to 30 mins, only to see others jump in front of you as you neared the front...& that's a good value day out?
The world's gone mad.0 -

I paid £120 for unlimited visits over the next 12 months including all their theme days, only queued excessively for the Pharoah ride - which I acknowledged was rubbish. We got into the park at 9.30am, went on at least 10 rides, had a lovely picnic, had a great laugh with the children, visited the miniature land - with lego fanatic kids - kids ran about without fear of cars and roads, we left at 6pm all shattered and now able to have a day out there as many times as we like for the next 12 months for FREE - so, yes, I did have a great day out and looking forward to many more.
As i said, it doesnt suit everyone but no-one seemed desperately unhappy whilst we were there - a shame you didnt enjoy it - but at least you didnt buy the annual passes and regret it.0 -
I went today to get my annual pass and waited about an hour for it.I was only staying till 2 so went to see the line for the laser ride and it was 2 hours at 11.45 I told my son we would go on it another time.I can understand why some people aren't happy paying a lot for a day but the annual pass is a good price for ten pound so I can try that ride next time hopefully0
