Forgot to say, Sorry to Jo. Got heated in the moment. LOL.

Bet she went to Ask or Macdonalds anyway. LOL. Or even a late kebab after a late night out.

Fair comment! Assumed as you said you were going the next day you would obviously log in before going to get any answers!:rotfl:
Anyway, glad you had a good time. I love Liverpool - would move back in a flash if I could.

You could try some of the restaurants on Duke Street - there's Mayur, which is an awesome Indian fine dining place, there's a Japanese Teppanyaki place there, and a much better pizzeria, called Il Forno, also a gastro pub, the Munro - I've eaten at all these places, and can recommend all of them. They're pretty much in a row down Duke St - you'll absolutely have to book the Monro - it's always over-subscribed.

    Cheers,

The Munro and the Mayyur are both spot on. The Sapporo place is good too. La Vina and The Olive Press near the town hall are both good too.

Next time you're here: Damon's is surprisingly good; near the airport (get the 86A bus from town). Circo is good but nothing special. For good pub grub, try The Grapes on Mathew Street before 6:30pm, or Flanagans Apple, also on Mathew Street.
  • The Bear and Staff in Gateacre is good too....plus there's always The Gulshan down by the cricket club.

I'm going to Liverpool this weekend to see Eddie Izzard and looking for somewhere to eat. Thanks to this thread I've got a list of places to check out. We're going for the weekend so will get to try a few. If anyone has any other suggestions I'd be happy to hear about them :)
