Free Sky+ and Free Installation.

After lots of nagging by the girlfriend i decided to get SKY Digital, I checked various forums for deals and got referred to the same few, Refer a friend and straight sign up at SKy.com getting £25 in tesco vouchers.

However i managed to get a free Sky+ box and installation. This is how i did it.

I eventually decided to use refer a friend as it was giving a free sky+box and £50 in vouchers for my dad, however the link on the email never worked so i used the CHAT online with an advisor (top right of selection page) WINDOW available when ordering on SKYs website, heres is what i said and what i got.

(It is long winded so heres the link to the page if it doesnt work i apologise, it worked for me at the time of ordering.Also the script of what i said for you to try as it may work).

We eventually signed up for this package as it saved us paying out £30 for installation costs, plus the vouchers are for Marks and Spencers and to be honest my dad works for them and i didnt fancy buying rip off food from them.

So i got free sky+, free installation.

So no initial costs.

Good deal i think.

Haha thanks, I had a quick look through this as my mother was wanting to sign up to sky. At first I got offered the free sky plus with £30 set up and £50 M&S vouchers - but quickly remembered I didnt have my mothers debit card number. So told him i had account info to set up direct debit but unfortunatley didnt have the debit card info at hand - so said he would do me another deal. The free sky+ box and free installation which means no initial costs. Wooo!! My mum will be pleased - but means i dont get any vouchers now lol.

I would be very interested to hear how long new customers are waiting to receive their sky + box. I have been a customers for 4 years and have been told that I will have to wait 3 months for my Sky + box. I ordered this a month ago and the website is still showing 3 months. When I queried this with Sky they said I still have another 3 months to wait for the phone call that will arrange installation. So this makes 4 months so far!! I wonder if I am being pushed to the back of the queue because I am an existing customer??

That seems a long time

I have been a Sky customer for years and called them on Thursday and they are fitting it on Monday, maybe I got lucky

Hope you get it sorted sooner than 3 months

I just rang sky as a new customer said I wanted sky+ and didnt want to pay for the box and didnt want to pay for installation. They said OK.

I ordered it on the phone bank holiday Monday, it was installed last Friday so 4 days later.

No jumping through hoops on their website, just asked them and then got what I wanted.

I have to wait two weeks for my install but that was by choice as im away for 2 weeks. So fits perfect.

However i have just seen the latest adverts offering free sky+ £25 tesco vouchers however £30 set up!
