MRN - that's fantastic news - I am very very happy for you :)

Improved career, loads more money, lots of time back? Seriously brilliant improvement there.
  • I'm still in the land of the living... and the land of MFW if not in a regular posting routine.

    What's my news?
Well... I paid off my student loan... I paid off my car loan... I saved 3x my monthly salary in an ISA... I saved £10k in joint savings...

    But...

I still have £131,338 on the mortgage.
    MFW: Nov 2008 £156k, Jun 2015 £129k, Jun 2017 £114k.
  • MSE/MFW stuff last week:

New joint savings account - 1.4% interest boosted to 1.6%
Transfer of old ISA to another provider completed.
Initiated change of old joint savings to individual savings (because 1.4% isn't that bad and I like having my own pot to save to for car repairs, gym membership and Christmas).
Boosted regular transfers to ISA by £210 (this used to be my car direct debit).
    5 days of packed lunches
    1 day of car sharing
Price match for a Christmas present =£28 saving

    Phew!
    MFW: Nov 2008 £156k, Jun 2015 £129k, Jun 2017 £114k.
  • Some little MSE things to report...

£69.92 end of Dec tidy up from Joint Account to Joint Savings.

Meal plans till next weekend - no shopping required.

We'll be using up freezer/larder items for the next month or so as we're planning the new kitchen installation (££££ eek). Also on the same topic, tall fridge, tall freezer and a gas cooker/hob could be sold as second hand.

Scanned and boxed some unwanted books to sell £9.00

Listed two books on Amazon and two items on Preloved. Three boxes more suitable for car boot in the spring.
    MFW: Nov 2008 £156k, Jun 2015 £129k, Jun 2017 £114k.
