Great idea Edinburgher... when we're nearing the end of December I might kick that thread off for anyone else to join!
Hi Lula, Elantan and Tilly too. I rarely let my guard down at work - they're a bunch of gossips (the !!!!!ier variety) with the odd "I heard it from the horses mouth" vulture in there too. Hence the junior colleague confronting me. I get the impression I'm discussed as somewhat of a dark horse - it's a shame they don't read my less gossipy nature as just plain 'professional' !!!MFW: Nov 2008 £156k, Jun 2015 £129k, Jun 2017 £114k.0 -
Nationwide have confirmed that we have a 5 year fixed rate of 3.29%. It all starts in January along with our new joint budget:
- Mortgage Our new monthly mortgage payments are £783.33. We're sticking with £800 per month. Automatic monthly OP of £16.67 (better than our current £11.05).
- Groceries £200 per month including cleaning products. This is tough with our Costco visits but will average out over a few months.
- Monthly Bills with energy supplier switch in process, upfront line rental and council tax remaining the same for third year in a row - about £260 per month for these costs.
- Annual Bills we'll be putting £40 per month away for these costs.
- Savings £125 per month for the kitchen renovations and and end of month leftovers.
- Treats not to be paid for on the joint account! Treats will have to be earnt through loyalty points, mystery shopping and cashback or paid from our own money.

I agree - OP's that don't cost anything - they're the best kind :T:T:T:T.A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effortMortgage Balance = £0

16 weeks is anything but trival, I just made my desicion a bit earlier than you and its now why I have an addiction to philly/ham/chilli pesto/basil sandwhiches
Its also two years of making my own drinks instead of buying them out of the machine at work saving £250 over the 2 years. Can you guess where the saved money went
I'm still bagsying bragging rights thoughMortgage Aug 12 £165K, Aug 19 £0
