I used to be lured in by the vouchers but I'm not so much any more or I'll take my Mum with me, we spend ~£25 each and get the discount . Or if I need lots of stock for the tin cupboard or meat for the freezer I'll use them0

Hooray for pay rise and packed lunches :j

Hi MRN, not sure why I've only just ome across your diary but I have now read it!
I echo the thoughts of the other MFW's re: being MF by 40. I hope for the same and it really is just something to aim for as I am now 30 and running out of time!! If I'm 42/43 - so be it.
Was interested to read about your student loan spreadsheet. I have a large SL from degree one from 2004 but only qualified to start making repayments when graduated from degree 2 in 2010. I did however set up a SO to pay the interest when I wasn't making repayments whilst on mat leave. I have no idea what my projected end date is though!
Will be following your diary from now onJune 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!0 -
Hi CathT and welcome!
You can use the MSE ready reckoner to work out your rough student loan end date based on your current salary. The annual statement they send has your balance on it.
Officially two weeks of packed lunches today!
Mystery shop this evening too. Although busy socialising this weekend so no time to go to the gym or mystery shop.
Have a good weekend everyone!MFW: Nov 2008 £156k, Jun 2015 £129k, Jun 2017 £114k.0 -

Hi MRN, :T:T:T for the lunches :T:T:T
I know it takes a whole to get organised it I really think that the food you get is better this way, as well as being MsE.
Have a fab weekend and hope the MS goes week.

An exciting morning on the mortgage front... a letter from our financial advisor arrived with forms for us to fill in, allowing them to look into available mortgage products. The ball is rolling for December/January re-mortgage!!!
In other MSE news:
I picked two large marrows (and more still growing) from the veggie patch.
The washing is on the line.
My cold is clearing up (so I'm using less expensive non-balm tissues!).
I requested an Amazon voucher from VO (to help pay for MrMRN's Christmas present!)
I convinced MrMRN I could make a lunch better than we could buy in town (hope I can live up to my claims!)MFW: Nov 2008 £156k, Jun 2015 £129k, Jun 2017 £114k.0 -
Morning MRN, December is rolling round pretty quickly
Good luck on the pack up challenge. I sometimes make a bulgher wheat salad with whatever is left in the fridge - goes down well with DD, but not DS.
Stuffed marrow a one of my favourites - now I have it in my head I really want one :rotfl: Will have to hunt down a marrow as I haven't grown any this year.

I think the best thing would be if I shred them then I'll have more focus on keeping the total small instead of aiming for a high target just to use the vouchers!
Also I'm sure if I don't use them... they'll send me some more in the future!
Now I've found your diary I'm signing up.
With winter on the horizon you could stock up on supplies in case you get snowed in.

Ooooh marrow - I haven't had that for years and as kids we used to be really disappointed when we had that for dinner. We used to have them off my step-dads allotment. Somehow we thought they were not as good as you got in the shop! Now, though, I'm dribbling at the thought of it and broad beans0
