Done a stint at stinky towers and home for lunch.
Opened post from OH's business bank account which simply stated that it had been closed and all funds paid out by cheque ... £8.5 grand gone :eek::eek:
Heart attack, paperwork panic, identity fraud ... worse they've acted on premature paperwork and given it all the Treasury ... we've just paid to buy a duck house and clean an effing moat :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Time to reclaim methinks ... a job the ac!!!!ant can do for free as her fees are part of money :A Let us be grateful to people who make us happy: they are the charming gardeners who make our souls blossom. Marcel Proust :A0 -

By heck, when a bank does summat wrong, they don't do it small do they???
Hope the accountant can sort it out for you

Will email accountant to hopefully sort out the mess. Her cheque will be bouncing as there's no account left to pay it from...ah well...she's the one who accidentally killed it so not feeling guilty about that. Shouldn't be a big deal to fix, just so relieved that there's a simple if dumb reason for it being emptied out like that.
On another possibly plus note, someone phone to see ex-trashed flat so I mentioned it's probably gone but stinky flat is coming on the market. Wanted to see it today despite the health warning and even better he now wants it. So hopefully that one will pan out and all the flats will be let...whoo hoo (just let me dream a little - you can bring me down to earth with a bump later).
First big dump run done and will do another tomorrow night after CAB and lunch with a friend.:A Let us be grateful to people who make us happy: they are the charming gardeners who make our souls blossom. Marcel Proust :A0 -
CAB went well but very quiet...nobody came to visit at all! Maybe it's the nice weather tempting people do other things. May get to do a home visit next week so that will be good experience.
Popped up to Edinburgh to have lunch with a friend. Old company trying to get rid of him so he's not having much fun. His turn to pay tho so very MSE.
Now back to hear that the 2 accountants are disagreeing about OHs money. Seemingly because he didn't submit something in January, Companies House have struck him off with neither us nor any accountants receiving any letters. Original accountants are saying Companies House ie the Treasury can therefore keep the money, our new accountant thinks that nonsense. We don't actually owe them any money unless they want to fine him for submitting his accounts late but can't se how that can possibly be £8.5k fine!! Still think its duck house money:A Let us be grateful to people who make us happy: they are the charming gardeners who make our souls blossom. Marcel Proust :A0 -

Get husky on her way, now, don't delay for a second!!!!!
Sorry I've not been on for a while - missing in action, will explain all (well, as much as I can really explain what is largely apathy!) on my diary later on.
 indeed to the 8.5k - can;t see how they can claim for a second they can keep it though so fingers crossed it will all be resolved. As for the flats, well done you on getting them turned around and hopefully let too. Your lovely couple sound like they will be reliable payers too which is a good thing. When we rented our landlord once described us as a lovely couple, and ideal tenants, so fingers crossed yours are the same!
Will try to keep up a bit moire regularly from now on - just off now to find Piq & Stripes.🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡
