Is there a problem with the MSE servers??

Hi folks,

Thanks for letting us know. It's not something we are seeing at MSE Towers or at home for me. Could you please let us know some connection details such as:

ISP
Connection type/speed
Location in the UK (rough)
Browser (IE/Firefox/Chrome etc)
Specific time it happened
Any other details such as particular boards, particular tasks you are trying to achieve etc.

Me too, same message as fermi. I wonder if it just affects those of us on Firefox.

Location in the UK (rough) - Ayrshire
Browser (IE/Firefox/Chrome etc) - both firefox and IE
Specific time it happened - mostly after 8pm


I thought it was just my crappy AOL wireless....

I just got it trying to open this thread the first time round. Oh, the irony.

Ping and traceroute are fine. I got a physical 'connection refused' which may suggest too many people hammering too few servers... time for an upgrade Martin !

By the way this has been happening a few days when there were about 5,000 people online at MSE.

I've been trying to access various boards and it keeps saying unable to connect. If I refresh it's ok though

I'm glad I saw this......I've been virus checking , router checking, you name it.......yep same error for me....keep having to refresh, after trying to change pages

Good luck....if it was down it would probably be an easy fix........intermittantly, you've got a potential nightmare
