    Ouch. £8K!

Autoglym Super Resin Polish for me too. Excellent, and only mildly abrasive so will help remove some fine scratches and swirl marks by car wash brushes and sponges.

Apparently you shouldn't use a sponge to clean the car, can drag grit over the surface and scratch it creating those fine circular swirl marks- a wool mitt it preferred. .

The best wax is probably Collinite 476s. Nice to give it a polish up first with SRP, maybe some EGP (extra gloss protection), topped up with some 476s :)

I never polish my car, yet it gleams, the answer is Aldi Car Shampoo, cost's a fiver for five litres, the more I wash it, the more it shines.

Even the MOT Tester said " you must spend every Sunday waxing it ".. in fact, I have never actually waxed it.. amazing stuff.

Actually it was a professional detailer that did it for me, full de-swril treatment (because I used to use a sponge, now I know to use a wash mit as said earlier by someone else ;) ) plus the right combination of duragloss products to cleanse, the a bonding agent for the sealant that goes on top to help the job last longer.
It was done at no cost to me in exchange for agreeing for photos to be used for promotional purposes

The Duragloss 901 shampoo I use builds up a shine over a few washes too.

If Autoglym SRP is creating loads of dust you're using too much. Try to spread it a bit further (damp applicator will help).
