dont like autogylm polish apart from the topcoat gloss protection they do. Its a fine liquid and offers a xtra protection after a full wax, very good. :-)

Autoglym Super Resin Polish followed by some Autoglym Extra Gloss protection is pretty good, lasts around 6 months.
SRP contains fillers and abrasives which help to hide microscracthed/swirl marks, at least for a while.
The downside of SRP is the white power residue which cause streak marks for 2 or 3 washes afterwards. Not so bad an a silver car but looks pretty untidy on darks colour.
    What's best?
    Subjective really.
My favourite these days is the Duragloss range, especially good on dark coloured cars, gives a wet look, easy to apply and good value. Usually lasts a year when using the Durgloss 901 shampoo (this alone used regularily builds up a good shine).
The secret to a really good shine is surface preparation, clay barring and using a paint cleanser or washing up liquid to strip away any old polish/sealant and contaminants. Apply new sealant straight away afterwards.
If you want the full list of products that gave the followign result I'll look it up for you.

Auto glym super resin polish and a wax like collinite 476s (2 coats of wax will last you about 6 months) saves on the amount of times you have to polish and as the wax is hydrophobic protects from the nasty rust in years to come.
If it doesnt pay rent sell it.

AG SRP is good for putting a nice shine on. Tho you may wish to use something with a bit more cut in it if the car is a bit sad looking.

Just out of interest is the 106 silver...?
