Oh ok,Thanks I didnt know that, I thought it just has the track and trace serial number.
In which case I have confirmation they received the first letter.

In fact, there's no such thing as 'registered' any more.

It's either 'recorded signed for' or 'special delivery'. The former just provides proof of delivery. The latter has a guarantee of delivery by a certain time and a much higher insurance limit (and, accordingly, a higher cost).

Yeah thats right, I did the one that just provides proof of delivery with a track and trace number.
    Another quick question..
How does the credit card enforceable or non enforceable issue affect credit rating ? does it come up as a mark or some note etc ? how long before it clears from my credit check etc ?

If its uninforcable they cant leave anything on your file as they dont have proof you took out the credit agreement. If they do you can demand they take it off

Are you sure about that Duggie? I'm sure I've read in other posts on this website that although the debt is ruled unenforceable, it still remains a debt (they just can't demand you repay it). They will then update your credit file accordingly and your credit file is trashed for six years.

Personally, I don't know. I'm just saying what has been said on other threads where people have asked the same question.

Here's the link to another thread discussing Unenforceable Credit Agreements and the effect on your credit rating

If that is the case does that mean it will stay on the file for 6 years. Also in my situation I have £38,000 debt on credit cards, of which £17,000 I am hoping will be unenforceable and the remainder I am going to clear hopefully by the summer.
But would that mean I wont be able to get other cards or a mortgage etc as I would still have around £17,000 showing as not paid debt ?

Why would you not make any payment next month?
Until the CCA is produced the account becomes in dispute after the 12 days. Once this time frame has gone the creditor is not legally allowed to collect any money on the debt until they prove it is owed.

Also a criminal offence is no longer a part of the 12 days. So, no criminal offence can be committed anymore :)
Wow, I got 3 *, when did that happen :j:T:p
It is not illegal to open another persons mail unless you intend to commit fraud - this is frequently incorrectly posted:)
    I live in my head - I find it's safer there:p
  • Duggie1982 is correct. They cannot mark your file if no agreement is available and if they do you can have it removed

Put yourself in a lenders position. Would you lend to someone who had just got £17000 worth of debt declared as unenforceable on a technicality?

No I wouldnt, but then at the same time I am using my savings and paying off £21,000 of debt.
I also have a new wage now so would be alot more stable.
    I see it as 50/50
