  • Sorry

I took the loan out 3 months ago as well as the card, The next catalogue was taken out 2 months ago:confused:

    Many Thanks
as everything has been opened recently, i would give it some time as lenders cant judge ur ability to manage repayements with only 3-4 months of payment profile

Do you think it is worth appealing, The woman I spoke to last night was quite unhelpful.

Or shall I try and get a card with someone who just uses equifax and who would that be.

How long should I leave it now before applying again ..

    Thanks

    Nikki

I applied for a Tescos credit card and was declined even though I have a good credit history. I requested my reports and also noticed that my bank accounts did not appear on one of the reports (think it was experien) - i wrote to them about this and they said that it's normal.

I would be grateful if someone could tell me who uses equifax so that I can transfer my current balance on to a 0% card - Thanks!

You could try Barclaycard Platinum 0% on BT for 12 months and they search Equifax. The only other credit card providor to search Equifax only is Sygma Bank issue card Flybe etc but do not offer 0% BT.

Do you think that if I dont apply for anything that it will help my credit rating even more even if my credit history is not showing up on Experian. And how can I find out what credit card companies use Equifax..

    Thanks

I have now decide to look at a sub prime credit card capital oneto help build my credit history as my equifax is okay but not my experian.

If I apply for this do they search experian or am I wasting my time and if i get one will this help build my experian report up.

    Many Thanks

  • It will help if you keep payments up on your card and if you clear or remove any old adverse credit on your file, however to be issued with your card and accepted you need not have any current defaults etc against your name. Downside with Cap One is the interest rate, have you tried Barclaycard Intial? Its a much lower interest rate.

    Hope this helps
