So I guess...If the bar code does not start with 99...it WILL NOT SCAN on SS tills.....am I right..???

Pretty sure it won't scan at ss tills as would need ca to override it.

Just been to Mr Ts this morning, ready for battle re sun voucher. Went to my usual friendly ca ( also young, good looking with lovely muscles.....). When he scanned it said 'item not on file', asked supervisor who sais 'is it Morrisons coupon? Yeah we are taking those, just put through as non scanning coupon for now and will check with office how we should do it for future'. Was so pleased as thought would have argument...next week will use 2 as regularly spend over 60 in there.

I rang customer services using this number and lady said she wasn't sure whether they were taking them, but would check while i waited. Confirmed they would be taking it and said she would be buying a copy of the sun herself.

Why don't you all ring them. they may send the memos to the shops a bit quicker. Then we can all use our vouchers and also get our double points. Thanks Quentin for letting us know about these.

I would imagine this week could be hit and miss as to whether they are accepted (mainly due to the barcode complication)I think though as customer services are going to get so many calls and emails re this they should have a urgent communication sent to all stores later this week, and next week most stores should be accomodating

had an email from here ..Closing Prize Alert: Grab a Le Creuset 3 Piece Gift Set!‏ ...so had a look, entered a few things, starbuck included, got email offering me 50p off their coffee in store,again this was sent by email,managed to get one sent by post[clicked dont have a printer] them it let me print 2 x 50p off, look out for this email.

Mine was just refused...manager was right by the newspapers , so asked him if I would be able to use it, he took the paper to Customer Service Desk ( coupon supervisor joined him) and it would not scan...he said if it does not scan he cannot accept it...I told them that another Tesco nearby had said they would be taking it...but he was adamant if it won't scan then he won't take it as he has been caught out with taking coupons before that have caused probs....will go to the other Tesco on Wednesday and try and use it then...maybe as someone else has said it will be sorted out by the end of the week...will keep on getting paper just in case, can always do the crossword and sudukos...
Interestingly enough the ...double points is applied after taken off coupon spend...total was £28.16...after coupons £16.34...got 31 points...I would have thought that should have been 32...rang the 0800 to check why and she has no idea unless I had bought baby milk or cigarettes...which I haven't...only food and 2 newspapers...anyone any ideas? Perhaps they don't give points for newspapers....

I suppose it doesn't matter but I don't want Tesco's knowing how I pay for my shopping, so I hand over my clubcard for scanning before I hand over my coupons (or cash:eek:) They do give points for newspapers.

Just back from Tesco. I asked if they would accept the £5 Sun coupon. Checkout superviser asked manager who said yes. However, the coupon didn't scan at the till. The superviser called said no can't accept it. I asked her to check with her colleague who confirmed my conversation and then it was put in as an overide. So best to get confirmation before getting to the till. I also rang customer services who confirmed every Tesco store except the Expesses will be taking them.
