    Hi guys,

Just wondering if anyone on here who uses Lightspeed could advise me. Have only recently started using them and requested my first Paypal payment the other day. How long does this normally take to come into your account? Am a little worried as my paypal email address is different to my main one that is on my profile. On the first page for redeeming it said that I couldn't redeem on paypal if this was the case but then on the checkout page it said that this had now been changed and could just add the email address for payment. Hoping it's not gone walkabouts to the wrong email :S

Lightspeed have been sending amounts through to me for some years now though my two email addresses differ - they can be a little slow though sometimes.

Just make sure the different email addresses that you are using are listed on your PayPal account so PayPal knows where to put it. :)

I have a question, I am going to sign up to OnePoll as the surveys are all on their site but they want a lot of info for example my home phone number which is Ex Directory and I am not willing to give it out. If I place false info on that site will they check? do they phone you? Also I will be using a friends PayPal account (I have only just discovered the internet and do not really know enough to set one up myself) What happens if the two names do not match? such as the name I input into OnePolls join up and the name on the PayPal account? Thanks.

If you are not happy to give out some of your personal information, don't give it out and I certainly would not give out an ex-directory number. I would not give OnePoll my home number but I did give a mobile number where I can block anyone if I want or am happy to dispose of it. They have had that number for a long time and have not phoned me and I have not had any spam calls either.

With regard to PayPal - ask your friend to list your email address in their account and the payment will be directed to it.
  • Has anyone taken part in a focus group, I was going to register but unsure if it's a scam? Thanks Jim

I've done a few focus groups over the years, Jim, and they haven't been a scam, can be quite interesting too, and if they are held locally can pay well (unless expenses are included for travel etc.).

Is this a one off focus group? My experience is that companies usually try to choose people who haven't done one within the previous 6 months or so sometimes longer unless the company want feedback from changes. Maybe someone else has experienced something different though. All you can do is to try and get as much information on the company organising them as you can before you make your mind up.

You are welcome, podperson, I'm the impatient type too truth be told :) It is beyond me why electronic payments, cash or vouchers, take so long to come through sometimes!

It depends what you mean by regular ;) I 'regularly' receive an invitation from Saros about once every 3 months or so but I've not been to more than one focus group in a year unless it has been for a 'call back' on a particular subject. I'm registered with other companies but so far no other company has invited me on one but I haven't exactly pushed that side of things to be honest.
