MeanMarie, I hope little Thunder's paw is alright. Poor wee thing, awwwww....
I spent a while this morning checking out Weight Watchers and Slimming World on the internet, and think I should join Slimming World. I'm sick of carrying about all this surplus. However I made the classic mistake of going to the supermarket without having eaten first. I came home with some unplanned purchases (yes I had a list but might as well have had a chocolate teapot!). Things which dropped into my trolley included a packet of lemon shortcake biscuits, six Muller rice pots, four snowballs (like two buns sandwiched together with jam then rolled in sugar - very slimming indeed:rolleyes:). I did get "good" stuff for dinners, lunches and breakfasts, but think I should delay the slimming club for a while....
It's still a glorious sunny day here, we are spoilt at the moment, but I understand the temperature is due to drop tomorrow. I don't give a monkey's as that's the first day of my new job. I am so glad I didn't start it on Monday as they requested or I'd have kicked myself for missing two beautiful days stuck in an office.
I could sleep for a week right now, but must persevere and get some more housey stuff done. The floors still aren't scrubbed, the mound of ironing isn't done, and there's another wash to put on.
Bye for now.

:grouphug:Beemuzed :grouphug: Know what you mean, my Mum lost a son between me and my DB, and she never could forget either even though he only lived a day, come to that I wasn't even here, and I still remember his birthday.Member #8 of the SKI-ers Club
Why is it I have less time now I am retired then when I worked?0 -
Beemuzed,
I am not sure what to say, how dreadful for you, sending over big hugs to you, I am sure this must be a very hard day for you xx0 -
D.onnygal - I know what you mean. Our DS was a few days short of his 16th birthday and died as a result of a fall in which he broke his neck. You wouldn't believe how the repercussions continue to affect us, and DS2, right to this day. One moment in time...lives changed for everResolution:
