Credit scoring is a load of twaddle this programme other night proved that with Martin on it how can you have a bankrupt with a higher credit score than my dad? who doesn't use credit, but owns many houses for btl? crazy world.
He was a discharged bankrupt.
The whole point of being discharged is that he can start again with a clean slate - although that still takes 6 years to clear off the credit file.
As for credit scoring - it is statistically proven to be far better than manual underwriting. And I say that as somebody who had a bloody good record for underwriting clean mortgage business.0 -
can someone please answer the question i asked?
like politicians you lot never answer the question and ramble on about subjects you want to talk about.
this is what i have been asking.
read somewhere on here that you can get all the info on Natwest / RBS are prepared to lend you by paying £10 for a screen print of this page 6 of their back office system.
does anyone know what you put to get this information in a letter? or has a template?
does it really tell you this or is it just people tellin porkies?JS Name: Freemans £94/£200, Jacamo £941/£1400, Santander account £0/£0 Limit, 3 network 18mthx£20, Vanquis £233/£250, Vodafone 24mthx£35, Great Universal £500/£600, Littlewoods £500/£600, Marshall Ward £250/£300, Halifax Reward £93/£100 o/d, Studio £44/£250, Flybe £1450/£1500, Accessory £450/£520.0 -

Under the Data Protection Act you can request a copy of any information they hold about you, but it usually comes in the form of a computer print out. You won't be given a screen print, i.e. a print of the screen as seen by the staff.0 -
So basically what the thread i read was a load of rubbish then?
Surely the data protection act means if i wish to see what information the banks see about me I can get a copy of it? seems very strange maybe need a comliance officer or sumthin to clear this up for me as you muppets dont know anything about it.JS Name: Freemans £94/£200, Jacamo £941/£1400, Santander account £0/£0 Limit, 3 network 18mthx£20, Vanquis £233/£250, Vodafone 24mthx£35, Great Universal £500/£600, Littlewoods £500/£600, Marshall Ward £250/£300, Halifax Reward £93/£100 o/d, Studio £44/£250, Flybe £1450/£1500, Accessory £450/£520.0 -

I thought it was option 99, that gave the pre-approved lending decisions screen on RBS Group systems.0

Calling people names is surely gonna get us to help!
Although I do see a pattern emerging based on some of your other postsAnything that I do say, is strictly my opinion

Actually, chambta, while we're sort of on the subject... seeing as you're an RBSG bod, I'm going down to see them tomorrow about matching my overdraft and card type with First Direct (in fact, I don't even want to match the overdraft, just get £50 or so limit and a Highline card). They say they'll do this on their website - is this credit scored or overridden or what?
I don't think it'll say anywhere that facilities will be matched for existing customers with products elsewhere. To be honest if you put any sort of money through the account and don't go overdrawn I'd be shocked if you couldn't get what you want. By now you'll know anyway!0 -
I shall try both back office page 6 and option 99 on the letter will let you all know what i get back end of the day anything which helps get what i should be getting anyway will improve my credit scores which in the credit crunch is very important.
I do not suffer people gladly who just rample on without answering the purpose of the thread, its boring and i have no time for idle chit chat just facts is all we need.JS Name: Freemans £94/£200, Jacamo £941/£1400, Santander account £0/£0 Limit, 3 network 18mthx£20, Vanquis £233/£250, Vodafone 24mthx£35, Great Universal £500/£600, Littlewoods £500/£600, Marshall Ward £250/£300, Halifax Reward £93/£100 o/d, Studio £44/£250, Flybe £1450/£1500, Accessory £450/£520.0
